Re: UNH Wildcats-The Back Nine and Beyond!

How poetic that Joe Snively was on the ice for the first three UNH goals. And, we get to play this cupcake again at the end of December in Hanover. :-)

Very satisfying win for our 'Cats just what the doctor ordered!! Shut out for DT welcome back shane Eiserman with an assist. Onto PC Go 'Cats!!

Re: UNH Wildcats-The Back Nine and Beyond!

Coach is now officially halfway to the NRN, and only 1/3 of the way into the season. That's good math.

Big win ... now the next month-plus of the season sets up nicely to get the job done early. :)

Bumped your pairwise, um nowhere, see you in Hanover.

You see, some might say "Hey, look - Yale has had the same impact on UNH Hockey last night as it's had on New Haven over the course of most lifetimes" ... but not me, I'm a glass half-full guy. I say, "Thanks Yale for helping me on my way to the NRN. After all, it's all about me this season. Maybe you can send the scrubs up to Hanover next month? Hugs & kisses (signed) Coach Umile". Who says Yale's generosity ends at the perimeter of its campus? :D ;)

Actually, UNH win over Yale bumps UNH PWR from 20th to 15th, I think. Every OOC win this early in season makes a big difference in PWR. Yale's PWR probably took a big step down, too. Not that PWR means anything at this point, as all eyes UNH are on the NRN. How cool would it be for UNH to run its next seven, giving Umile his NRN in Hanover on December 30th against..............do not hold your breath, Yale.

Yup that's what I thought! Thanks for clarifying. Still marveling over that Grasso snipe oh, my!! Also it was great to see Shane E back in the lineup nice set up for the Nazarian goal. Kudos to Anthony Wyse; excellent D.

The PP was so-so glad we got that one on the 5 on 3. That being said last season we relied heavily on PP goals so scoring even strength goals this season is nothing to complain about I guess!! Go 'Cats!!

Agreed, without TyK this season, PP much weaker, tied for 19th, with 11 of 51 at 21.57%. However, PK has been sensational, 3rd all alone, with 50 of 56 kills at 89.39%. And, yes, DT should remain in net until there is a good reason to take him out, with his 5th overall in SV% at 0.932, and tied for 3rd with 3 SO's. And, sure, he is getting more help in front of him, with team D 4th overall with 2.08 goals per game, besides the aforementioned PK.

Yeah. Good win for the Cats. Should help the all important confidence level. Look forward to seeing the highlights and the Grasso snipe.

Hope they can make some noise in Hockey East next weekend. Chuck's prediction on next weekend more on the glass half empty side for my liking. I'll go glass half full and predict a 2(split), possibly 3(tie/win) point weekend for the Cats!
