UNH Wildcats Official Wait til Next Year...14/15 thread

UNH outplayed Providence in the first period, beating them to loose pucks, maintaining possession in the offensive zone, and transitioning. PC looked a little flat. UNH managed to withstand PC's onslaught in the second and third periods. Difficult to imagine the Friars playing any better than they did - well, except for that line change blunder. I can't remember the last time a UNH goalie made so many key saves in a playoff game.

Speaking of memorable, here's Tyler Kelleher showing Gillies something he doesn't see very often:

Oh so sweet we were sitting so close and to see that puck go in the net behind Jonny G was so awesome! Truly beat him and that's the only way to score goals he's that good. Oh funny thing reading the Providence Journal today Kevin Goumas was in town playing the Prov B's and they won in a shoutout.

Still can't get over the game DT played last night earning him the number 2 star of the game! (Grayson Downing earning #1) Gooo ''Cats!!

I watched the game last night .... good enough video and an "acceptable" announcer. Would recommend it.

Good road win for UNH-Tirrone was very solid and I'll take "acceptable" announcer-thanks :)

Q for those of you in the know does the HE tourney re-seed for the next round as I thought the winner of our round would move onto the BU v Mack winner? Coz I saw a bracket which speaks otherwise? Not trying to put the cart before the horse just curious?

Reseed. Highest remaining seed vs lowest remaining seed.

That's what I usually do but sometimes the feed doesn't work with real time

I got a new flat screen smart TV before the season started so I could watch the games. Only problem is the smart tv is pretty dumb. I can only watch the apps loaded into the tv. I can use my laptop to get the feeds though!!

Able to use Internet browser on my Blueray player. Got it set up to watch the game tonight. Hoping for another W tonight and bringing this show to Boston. Keep it up boys

Quality stuff. :) So often, we've been on the wrong side of the "hot goalie" equation (I'm thinking back to that UVM munchkin Madore a few years ago as maybe the most recent example?). It'll be interesting to see how PC reacts tonight ... might be squeezing the stick a little tightly and pressing if Tirone picks up where he left off. IF UNH somehow gets out in front tonight (or tomorrow), the youngsters are going to have to show some maturity AND intenstinal fortitude to be able to close things out. I do continue to have concerns about UNH's ability to consistently transition out of its own end, though; it sounds like it was an issue again later in the game last night.

It's great we're even having this discussion now, with the season virtually circling the drain less than 30 days ago ...

Sure is great! But you do raise an important point it's been our issue all season and could've been our undoing last night as PC pressed and pressed. Go 'Cats!!!

Nice! Enjoy the game. Hope we get another W tonight too. Boston would be fun for sure!

UNH will be going down in the next two.. Might as well get an early start on the return trip to Durham for you folks who came to Prov to watch, because it surely will be too painful for you to watch. You can go to Boston in your dreams.

Is that a lock?

From the looks of it, the folks who came down from Durham are the only ones in attendance. I'm guessing 60-70% of the seats are empty.

That's a bit surprising for a top-10 team/NCAA lock.

Re: UNH Wildcats Official Wait til Next Year...14/15 thread

Nice first period. Held the zone well, cycled pretty well, nice aggression. Shame we couldn't take advantage of the PP. Tirone looks solid.

Re: UNH Wildcats Official Wait til Next Year...14/15 thread

PC, on the other hand, is taking advantage of their PP. 2-0, 2 PPG's, 16:30 left in 2nd.
