Rumors are that Vecchione was Lassonde's find, and when Lassonde left, Borek wasn't as enamored. (I posted a bunch of links about two weeks ago.) So it was Borek who decided Mike wasn't ready on the promised schedule.

Moreover, MV did spend that extra year in juniors, right? So, maybe Borek was correct in his assessment?

Check out Mac's OOC games this coming season on the scheduling thread; I guess that there is not a NRN thingie happenin' over there.

I figure with Sergio Garcia winning his first major in 72 tries at the Masters there's hope for the boys in blue and white to take home some hardware!
