Yeah, that was brutal. We probably aren't going to hold up OUR end of FCS competitiveness this year. Can't seem to get any offense going.
Hey are you guys going to be in Durham Oct 1/2? We will be at both games...

Robert Morin walked by my campus office for over 40 years .... we occasionally talked, neither one of us would be seen as a "talker." A couple of things:
1) Given that he left it up to the University to select how the money would be spent .... and given what I know .... I believe that he would look up at that scoreboard, chuckle a bit (quietly), point at it, and "well how about that." But then who knows about these things ....
2) Secondly, I don't know if he would but perhaps he and others might say that there are times when you have to look at the "big picture." As a faculty member I certainly disagreed with the UNH administration on a number of matters over the years .... but somehow I agree with this scoreboard decision. And by he way - those politicians getting air time by expressing alarm at this decision .... well maybe they should express equal alarm at the fact that the State of New Hampshire contributes 6% to the budget for the University of New Hampshire.
RIP Robert Morin and thank you.
If it's good enough for sonar, then it's good enough for me.
As to our outgoing governor/our new neighbor and her silly posturing - let's just say PEA has a few thorny issues of their own these days which have their roots in the time when Mr. Outgoing Governor was in charge, and it's over issues likely more important to the general good than decisions about funding a scoreboard or not.
Just sayin' ...
Will be interesting to see whether she becomes your new neighbor or mine come November!
I think we're stuck with her. Works for me all around - keeps a better senator in DC, AND the mean streets of Effingwoods get plowed more quickly.
So ... back to hockey content. I say the 10/6/16 home opener against Bentley is a must-win. Discuss.
Did this game get moved up to Thursday without anyone telling me?
I think that the game will have a close final score like last year. Both teams lost a top goal scorer in Poturalski and Gladiuk, and both have a top scorer back in TyK and Max French. Both teams have had problems moving the puck out of their zones since losing Pesce and Steve Weinstein two years ago. And, both teams had the injury bug hit their goaltending last year. Bentley will miss having Billy Eisreman roughing up his little bro this year.![]()
Home opener against Bentley is still Sat, Oct. 8, 7 pm. Did Billy E graduate?
