Re: UNH Wildcats 2015-2016 (Part Two) - Managing Decreasing Expectations

Never gonna happen, Snively. Neither of those teams will sweep Lowell. Especially not BU.

I was at both UNH-UML games. My observation is that Lowell can't score. 1-0 at the Whit and at Tsongas, what did they have, 95 attempted shots only half of which found the net and only two of which got by Tirone? We'll see BU next week, but I saw them the last two Mondays in the Beanpot. They are way more aggressive, way more talented than UNH could ever hope to be this year. I'd be surprised if Lowell takes a game.

Agreed. And, if UML continues their thuggery tactics, eventually they will encounter refs who do not accept that kind of play. I was at Tsongas, too, so those who were not, do not tell me what I did not see with my own eyes four rows from the ice and what Dan did not see from 2000 miles away. I know, "Give it a rest, Snively65."

Good link, Felger; some things have not changed in 50 years.

I would generally agree - though I think they have a much better chance of taking points from BU than BC. I'd be very surprised if they aren't swept by BC. So their playoff position is flat-out on the line this weekend if you ask me...

Was stuck in traffic at the GS bridge listening to Squeaky Mazz and Murray, thinking about I miss O' Fortuna at UNH home hockey games.

Chuck

My biggest question tonight is who are you rooting for in South Bend?

The team I'm rooting for in that one is unfortunately getting it handed to them so far.

At least this one is still up for grabs ... gonna need some late heroics though.

I remember the good old days when UNH beat UVM 10-0. Oh well...

Yeah, back when Vermont was A LOT better, too! Oh well, split tomorrow hopefully - couldn't have expected any more than that. Hopefully 2+ more for Poturalski and Kelleher...

I get my competitive hockey fix in Denver these days. Total home game tonight for North Dakota. I remember when UNH used to travel like this. At least we're not the Fighting Hawks...
