I like the play of Dawson. He had a nice game against AIC. It will be interesting to see if Quast returns to the line up against SLU and/or Clarkson.

Not necessarily. In the recent past, UNH had sold about twice as many tickets for homecoming as Cowell officially held, knowing that many are coming just to tailgate (a game ticket being necessary to get onto Boulder to tailgate).

Well the stadium was full and Boulder too so okay I'll buy that possibility. Pretty good turn out under the circumstances if that's the case. I will say that I am still skeptical that the number is correct though. I realize past homecoming games exceeded capacity but even still 16,713 seems quite high.

Friday will be interesting defensively with the 2 - 0 - 0 19th ranked Saints cruising into town.

Ya. This game will reveal more to us about the Cats than the AIC game for sure.

Yeah they put up what 10 points on the weekend? Who were they playing the Bruins?!? Agree we will know the depth of our blue line and much more after this weekend! Bring it!!

I do not follow football much, but a friend who went to UNH homecoming football game last year left everyone else in his group tailgating in the parking while he watched the game, and then after the game he drove them all home.

Worse than the fans at the Whitt not paying any attention to the game, but that is ok, as they now have the Jumbotron for the replays.

As a non-season ticket holder, how early do I need to arrive to get a ticket on Friday night?

Did I see that the Wildcat Athletic Network feed was rough last weekend? My only hope until December.

e.cat, do NOT use facts, data, statistics or evidence on this thread. That is an unforgivable cardinal sin.

Innuendo, anecdotes, and gut feelings are the only passable currencies in this neck of the woods.

Carry on.

True true dc but I couldn't resist;)

Skating Saints beat Niagara 5-2 (41-27 SOG) and RIT (5-1, 39-20 SOG), but those two are just AHC teams, which have only had success against UNH in the post-season, so no worries. However, sophomore Kyle Hayton is supposedly a pretty good goalie, ranked in the top five most of last year, I think.

Depends, do you want to see the puck dropped?

I'm guessing you're good anytime before they close the box office (and then you won't need one).

Aerman, is there a FOMH event this weekend? I need to check in and see what's what...hope to see you and Snively at the game!

Didn't watch the AIC game - but it was very rough during the first period of the SFX game. They ironed things out and the last two periods were fine...

Getting a ticket should not be an issue.

Traffic for Friday night games can be an issue however .... factor in a few minutes of waiting in traffic.

Thanks, all. Will be driving from the west for a change, so traffic should not be quite the problem that it is driving across the GS bridge from the east.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2015-2016 (Part One) - Return of the "Champions of December"??

In what world is being 5,000-6,000 seats shy of capacity not a problem? Even assuming that we're only 3000 short of capacity, we're talking $19/ticket (minimum price, GA), which translates into around $60K in lost revenue and more than a few PO'ed fans. It's an unfortunate outcome of changing the wings while the plane is in flight. It is a problem... I hope the construction wraps on time, and that the team plays to a level that guarantees heavy attendance in the coming years. This year looks a little rough, after big losses to graduation.

It's a bigger *problem* IF - as in the early MacDonnell/pre-MacDonnell eras - you can't even sell half of what you have available.

For years, the *stadium* has been gradually shedding seats, with the loss (condemnation?) of prior bleacher seating areas.

None of this happened overnight - neither the increased demand nor the dwindling supply.

Thankfully, we have the proudly uber-experienced BS35+3 in charge to manage such issues ...

Silly question from an inexperienced, non-AD type. Why couldn't the heavy construction get done last/next Spring?
