Cool, and much appreciated. Honestly still waiting for the Hockey AA crew to come up with truly compelling insights into the game. I've said before, and I'll say it again ... the less stoppages in your game, the less measurable it is for the AA crowd. Baseball first, football and hoops comfortably behind but in the mix ... and with hockey and soccer far removed from the pocket protector brigade IMO. No wonder those last two are my two favorite sports. :) :)

OMG *** are you talking about?

The only pocket protectors I can remember were from high school and they were guys from shop class! Not that makes them bad people!

Let me know what you think about the team and the tron after this weekend if you make it to a game. I'm usually long on general observations and short on details. My eyeballs tell me all I need to know in terms of offensive zone time and final score as it pertains to SOG. Just sayin';)

Thanks for the heads up, HR. I do not blame season ticket holders for being annoyed with these deals for the rest of us, but I will take advantage, and continue to make it up to my alma mater in other ways. Will look for you between second and third, and my cousins on opposite side between first and second.

It's a one-way "yap", and actually has been for some time now. :D

It's like Michael Corleone in Godfather III ... and they just keep trying to drag me back in ...

p.s. nice colors, keep up the good work :)

Re: UNH Wildcats 2015-2016 (Part One) - Return of the "Champions of December"??

I do not follow football much, but a friend who went to UNH homecoming football game last year left everyone else in his group tailgating in the parking while he watched the game, and then after the game he drove them all home.

Worse than the fans at the Whitt not paying any attention to the game, but that is ok, as they now have the Jumbotron for the replays.

As a non-season ticket holder, how early do I need to arrive to get a ticket on Friday night?

Depends on which replay you want to see.

Listening on the radio first period over (almost to Durham) 2-0 SLU Skating Saints...

Welp things didn't look good but we played an inspired third tying it up. Hats off to the skilled skating and speed of SLU..physical too. We tried to play that game too and it just wasn't working. TyK took the worst of it as you'd expect...

Anyhoo DT settled down and had some great saves was screened on the OT goal. Top line struggled with the physical play but gotta say Gaudreault and Hill managed to get it done. D seemed sporadic at times losing skaters looking for Cleland to step up tomorrow. Their captain (Ward?) was impressive. Looking forward to hearing Coach U's perspective and Parker W too.

Would have been nice to win seeing how SLU is ranked but I'll give the 'Cats for coming back!! Bring on the Golden Knights who found MC abit too much to handle....Onward 'Cats!!

Lost the SOG. Lost the game. We're movin' on to Clarkson!

If you do not believe Chuck on SOG, check out Bentley's 3-2 win over NU at Mathews tonight.

Nice shortie by Jamie Hill tonight, with fine assist by Maxim Gaudreault, who was everywhere in the final 10 minutes of regulation; Hill increased his career goals total by 50%.

Definitely got my $9 worth of hockey this evening, liked the Jumbotron, and missed O' Fortuna. But, I missed Wipeout and Santana also. Time marches on.

Cats were dominated for the first 2 periods, it was ugly. The Saints did a great job clogging up the passing lanes, owning the boards and physical battles. Cats showed some grit in the 3rd and made it exciting. I'm not sold on Dawson yet. Nazarian needs to dress every game.

Holy SOG!

Nice win for Bentley. The Bentley goalie must have a sore head though after standing on it all night;) All three Bentley goals scored by the same guy a bit troublesome also!

Glad you liked the Tron:)

Agree Nazarian was making a lot of plays out there and looked pretty good.

+1

The decision on this will be telling. DT made some nice saves, but for 2 games in a row had fish flopping around in the bottom of the boat moments. Screen or no screen, I missed the replays I don't know, but DT looked like he wanted a do over on the game winner.

D looked better, more organized than vs. AIC. Still a ways to go. The first line looked better than against AIC, the second line not as good. Much more difficult when the opposition skates with you and knocks you around. Third line is an enigma. Eiserman was listed and started on the 4th line, quickly (1 shift?) moved up to the 3rd. Message received? We have 3 drafted players all playing on the 3rd line. The theme of starting the season strong needs to trickle down > start each game strong > start each period strong > start each shift strong (x2 after goals scored/allowed, PPs, PKs).

St. L. is a good team, deserved the win, but this is a loss that looking back in March could be one that makes a BIG NCAA qualification difference. The loss makes tonight's game, as much as game 3 can be, a must win. The 'cats need to focus on one game at a time, but as a fan this looks challenging:

at Massachusetts
at Union
at Merrimack
at Michigan State
at Michigan State
at Merrimack
vs. MASSACHUSETTS
vs. BOSTON COLLEGE
at Rensselaer

There hasn't been a goalie rotation in place in Durham for quite awhile. It's been several years now since a legitimate goalie rotation has existed (i.e. a regular game-to-game split). I'm not saying there might not be a spot start for Clark tonight or at some point(s) this Fall, but I'd be surprised (shocked actually  ) to see a rotation starting anytime soon.

I think that's just the way he plays. There was a lot of that late last year when they were finding ways to win consistently. He is hardly the goalie with textbook mechanics, which may be why DT ended up at UNH, and not closer to home? Suspect we're just going to have to get used to it.

But I do agree, it will be interesting to see how it's handled by the coaches. I was probably just as surprised (if not more so) as most by Coach Umile's abandonment of Clark in the second half of the season last year, and barring an injury or a significant downturn by Tirone - coupled with Clark making the most of limited opportunities - it's hard for me to envision DT not getting most of the starts again.
