yes but UNH has a propensity to lose when the stage is big.Rarely do they meet our expectations especially this year, dont forget their basically a 500 team.
And we're not playing Bishop Brady next weekend. No 4-point gimme in Andover.

Trust me I know. I was simply showing how UNH would finish if they tied NU in points. Chuck said UNH would have to do at least two points better than NU to finish in 3rd which isn't true.
I disagree. While I have previously noted that UNH is essentially a .500 team, it is nonetheless true that they have been pretty consistent in the league. They are 1-5 against teams above them in the standings, 9-3 against the rest. I think they play pretty much to form. Sure the Vermont weekend was a bust, but I saw that as evening things out for the weekend before, when they got a win against ND they probably didn't deserve. dc, I don't think they are gimme points next weekend, but if you can't beat the bottom team in the league, you probably don't deserve home ice.yes but UNH has a propensity to lose when the stage is big.Rarely do they meet our expectations especially this year, dont forget their basically a 500 team.
I've got a weird gut feeling that Northeastern is going to win (Saturday) night and finish 3rd.
AND I'm going to suggest #6 will be decided between Providence @ UMaine next weekend.
UNH @ UMaine in a best of three QF. You read it here first.![]()
Number of wins in conference play. With UNH being even on their head-to-heads with both PC and UMaine ... what's the next tiebreaker after that?![]()
Number of wins in conference play.
Agree NU beats ME tonight!
But I've got: #6 PC @ #3 UNH in the QF
#5 ME @ #4 NU in the QF
UNH and NU advance to the Garden!![]()
The weekend played out like I thought it would so I still have:
#6 PC @ #3 UNH in the QF's![]()
IF UNH SWEEPS MC:
SCENARIO 1
NU/BU SPLIT---NU 24 PTS
ME/PC SPLIT---ME 23 PTS
PC 22 PTS
UNH GETS THE #3 SEED
SCENARIO 2
NU SWEEPS BU---NU 26 PTS
ME SWEEPS PC---ME 25 PTS
PC 20 PTS
UNH GETS THE #5 SEED
SCENARIO 3
NU SWEEPS BU---26 PTS
ME/PC SPLIT---ME 23 PTS
NU 22 PTS
UNH GETS THE #4 SEED
SCENARIO 4
NU SPLIT---NU 24 PTS
ME SWEEPS PC---ME 25 PTS
PC 20 PTS
UNH GETS THE #4 SEED
I think I've done this correctly. Please correct me if I am wrong on this![]()
is their a scenario where unh gets 4th or better with a three point weekend.
I'll go thru the numbers. IDK yet. I know UNH wins the tie-break with NU. I think someone said earlier that UNH wins the tie-break with ME and PC too but I'm not sure. I'll take a look.
I'm pretty sure UNH does own the tiebreaker with Me and PC so,
IF UNH GETS 3 PTS VS. MC:
SCENARIO 1
NU/BU SPLIT---NU 24 PTS
ME/PC SPLIT---ME 23 PTS
PC 22 PTS
UNH GETS THE #4 SEED
SCENARIO 2
NU SWEEPS BU---NU 26 PTS
ME SWEEPS PC---ME 25 PTS
PC 20 PTS
UNH GETS THE #5 SEED
SCENARIO 3
NU SWEEPS BU---26 PTS
ME/PC SPLIT---ME 23 PTS
NU 22 PTS
UNH GETS THE #4 SEED
SCENARIO 4
NU SPLIT---NU 24 PTS
ME SWEEPS PC---ME 25 PTS
PC 20 PTS
UNH GETS THE #5 SEED
I think I've done this correctly. Please correct me if I am wrong on this
If UNH only picks up 2 pts then they would finish with 22 pts and would not get home ice in the QF under any of the scenarios I layed out!
not so fast grass hopper, if nu loses both, Maine picks up only a point vs PC ..than unh wins 4th...but if Vermont runs table over Lowell, they would pick up 4th.
