That is one heck of a concussion, I didn't see the play.

Actually it happened in practice and it was a badly broken femur...but I'm just paraphrasing from the 'Coaches Show" last night...poor kid! :( Maybe you are thinking of Kyle Smith who did have a concussion and missed I think 2 weeks?

Crossing back over the equator Thursday night, skidding into Nashua sometime Friday afternoon. Going to try to make it to Saturday's game. What's the ticket situation? Think I can just get them at the door?

Saw TvR today (2/25) on campus. Still hobbling around on crutches. Not sure if we'll ever see him in a wildcats sweater again :( but man do I hope I'm wrong

Merrimack put up a release this morning saying there were less than 50 tickets left for Friday and a "limited supply remaining" for Saturday. http://themackreport.com/limited-tickets-remain-merrimack-unh/
Their average this year is 2,316; 233 below sellout.

Thanks, Cloud9. Picked up two this morning - there were only 83 left for Saturday as of 7:15am.

Wow! Should be a full house on Friday...excited to be in the crowd...will look for other "like minded" folks wearing UNH gear. As per the TvR story...even if he was ready bet the coaches would be hard pressed to play him in this series..Coach U said that while the break didn't require surgery it did require time (coaches show paraphrase :p). Hopefully we will see him back for HE playoffs but honestly..is it realistic? Obviously the break wasn't as severe as a Stamkos situation but still can't imagine with the rigors of the sport he could be ready..we'll see I guess! Oh, and I'm not even going there that he will be elsewhere next season...not a pleasant thought to have! Coach said the 'boys are ready' for Friday and that's the only thing I'm betting on right now! Gooo 'Cats!!!! :D

well if they can possible take care of business this week , most likely a bye will be in order, which will give one extra week for TVR return . How about Downing any news .

That would be awesome; one extra week if TvR can skate. Speaking of Downing...he skated with the team in practices this week and Coach referred to him as a "maybe" for this weekend...TvR "has a ways to go" if I'm quoting correctly... Anyone else with any verifiable news on these two?

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

It would be great to see Downing back for this weekend, but I wouldn't bank on it.

As far as TvR ... I doubt we're going to see him back at all this season. Next season ...

I'm looking into buying tickets for the games this weekend. Do any of you know where the visiting team section of tickets is so I can get a seat closest to other UNH fans?

Section 10. There's a seating chart on the MC Sports website.

EDIT - just to be clear, that's the section directly behind the UNH bench. Not sure there's a specific "visitor's section"

Most away fans camp up between sections 10-13. Can't see why is this game is selling so well. (must be a "Fenway Sellout.") There's little hope for the blue and gold, and a real shame too with the year Collins is having.

UNH usually travels well to the Mack, really up until Merrimack's Garden-NCAA run of '10-'11 they constituted a super majority of the fans in attendance for these games at the Volpe. The old joke was "South Snively".

"Drive home safely!" chanted the Cats fans at the Warrior fans following games at Volpe.

But, the Warriors got their revenge with their success at the Garden and their "Black Hawks" goal song. Sickening!

We were our own downfall, a failure to quickly and efficiently clear the zone led to an early UNH goal being chopped off for offsides.
