Re: It's Official!

And I like your enthusiasm too;) Haven't you got somewhere else to put it:p

I trust I'll see you at Matthews Tuesday?

I just put it where ever I can and Lake Whit has been a joyous site for me.

As for Tuesday oh I don't know I'm not too into those midweek February games. :p

Re: UNH WildcatS 2012-'13: The Dawn of New Prominence

So after the Vermont games, it seems that which UNH squad shows up for the game is of concern...ask the league's upper teams as they have all played both editions.
We now have 6 games left, 3 with teams in the upper half and 3 with teams in the lower half of the current league standings...in glancing at NU and PC schedules, and for that matter UVM, (who finish their last 4 games vs BC and BU), UNH has the chance to finish in third place...or they travel for the playoffs...while I've had many, many road trips to bear,(nothing compares to DC and Hux road time), I'm really hoping that the focused, intense UNH squad shows up for the majority of games left so The Whitt is as far as my travels will take me....till the semi's and the Cape!
C'mon you Wildcats....nuts!!

Saturday Feb 9 at BU CANCELLED

Saturday Feb 9 at BU CANCELLED

I just got word from the coaching staff that the game Saturday at BU has been cancelled. I don't have any information regarding rescheduling yet, but given that it is a league game, I'm sure it will be.

At long last, UNH will face U Conn tonight at 7 pm. Fox College Sports Atlantic will be televising the game (delayed) at 10pm.

Let's go Wildcats!

So you gonna watch it live and then again on tape delay to get your hockey fix after warming up all weekend with "The big dig-out". :D

P.S...For those not familiar with Bean Town Folklore....."The Big Dig" was the downtown high-way reconstruct project that took "foreva" and had numberous cost over runs and double dipping boon doggles.

Unfortunately, I often have to work in some function during the game, so it's nice to have the recorded version to fall back on. (Unless of course the live event was more than I needed to see)

Away games are my favorite! i just sit, and watch...

Re: UNH WildcatS 2012-'13: The Dawn of New Prominence

Wildcats up 3-0 at the end of two. Hannah Armstrong with two goals, and Britt Redlick with the other. Shots 19-14 for UNH

Re: UNH WildcatS 2012-'13: The Dawn of New Prominence

Really nice to see the smiles shining thru the masks as UNH beat UConn...sure it should have been as lopsided a win as it was but we all know that we still play the games for a reason! (Ask any of the top 10 Bball teams this year), but with that said I'm hoping the team is ready for Providi and their Friar antics.....physical play and stick work will try and slow the Wildcats for sure....let's go Cats!!

Re: UNH WildcatS 2012-'13: The Dawn of New Prominence

I watched the game via the web. The Cats were flying! There was a sequence in the second period in the offensive zone when the cats cycled, switched, moved high to low and high again and droped the puck to others about 5-6 times...I was dizzy - it was pretty to watch! UConn had a poor first period but picked up the pace somewhat in the second but UNH stayed in total control throughout. I also liked their transition game form defense to offense with some nice partners and 'quick up' long passes. The Cats are at their best when they get sustained pressure in the O-zone with solid puck protection and hard work down low. UConn has had a tough year!

Here is a nice article on UNH Freshman Alexis Crossley

Am I the only one who died a bit inside when she pegged BU as the team for which the team gets up? I know BU has been very good lately, along with the Wakefield situation, but it seems wrong not have the PU Fryer lady goons in that position.

I guess all incoming freshman should have to go through an indoctrination sesson with alumna to learn the true meaning of rivalry.

I have no problem with the team considering BU their biggest rival as long as they beat Providence! In my era PC gave us the most trouble, but times change. I am a happy traveler tonight, and if I go home happy on.Sunday and again on Wednesday, well alrighty

Re: UNH WildcatS 2012-'13: The Dawn of New Prominence

After crashing hard Friday night from a long week, I awake to a 5-1 lead after 2 periods!! I love these girls and their drive....they've taken 4 of 12 points in the final 6 game stretch...with 4 games to go... keep it going Wildcats, you rock!!

Re: UNH WildcatS 2012-'13: The Dawn of New Prominence

A good weekend for the team...wicked proud of their grit and composure in looking for the tying goal on Sunday. Truthfully I think that UNH had the better of the play all weekend, and that if we can tighten up the puck control and have better hands we'll really have made big strides...and if course Gilli has been awesome...3 games and 6 points till home ice? Let' go Wildcats.....
