I agree; Butler was hosed. Even with Kessel and Foster, this Cats team was the first not to win 20 games in over a decade, and without Butler they probably would not have won home ice for the HE post-season, for what that matters, let alone another trip to the NCAAs. Watching Butler's shot go right through the netting in Albany to rally the Cats back into the Cornell game was all that I needed to be convinced he was most deserving of the Hobey this year.
But, what really bothers me is that apparently clean play no longer matters in the Hobey voting, as Geoffrion is a dirty player in my book. Good for the NHL maybe, but not for what the Hobey Baker should represent in my view.

Butler was ROBBED. In what area of the selection criteria was he lacking compared to Geffrion?
In my mind, Butler was truly the most deserving player. And no, it's not just because he is a Wildcat Alum.
