I think they have done a good job with shot blocking. Thompson has been impressive. Sometime in the last 6 games I saw him go down to block a shot and never get out of position so when the D-man tried to go around him he was back up in the right place.
It is the other 2 (hitting and fighting to the goal) where the problems lie. Funny thing is when they play well (1 period as of late) those aren't problems either.
This, dropping to block shots and fighting to the offensive goal are indicators of the UNH mindset and how the game will play out. Easy for a fan to post, much harder for a player to do.
