UNH Recruits: 2012-2014

Re: UNH Recruits: 2012-2014

Since I started this thread last September, someone has repeatedly and consistently used the
"Tags for This Thread" function, which appears at the bottom of the current page, to personally and anonymously attack me. Today's edition advises me to "get a fxcking job" and "get a real job." In the past, this poster used the "tag" function to accuse me of being a pedophile and a member of "nambla." The scathing attacks stopped after I raised my concern with the Forum's Administrator. Now, this poster comes onto this thread nearly every day to advise me to "get a life and a job." Isn't it ironic that he has enough free time to compulsively check this thread and post the same tags over and over again.

For the record, I am comfortably retired after a long career in the public sector (not in New Hampshire). My wife and teenage children would get a good laugh if they knew some anonymous boob accused me of being a pedophile. If I really had enough time to devote to the topic of UNH recruiting, I would start up a UNH hockey blog. I don't have that kind of time but I wish somebody else would. In the meantime, I will continue to follow the guidance of all the posters who have thanked me for helping to maintain the UNH Recruits thread.
I wonder if "Ralph Baer" with his 124,000+ posts on the RPI threads puts up with this kind of thing?:)
Now, back to painting my house.
P.S. - Thanks to whoever removed the "get a fxcking life" and "get a real job" tags.

Not sure who was giving you a hard time, but I know that all the people who live and die UNH hockey enjoy all the info that you are able to bring. I myself figured you were a retired alum who doesn't miss a game, and has some extra time to devote to keeping us all better informed of the current state of the program. I don't like it when people use this thread to attack those who post news, or even people associated with the program i.e. Coach Umile. His track record speaks for itself. Yes no hardware, but we all know that will change, because we have faith, and are willing to support the team no matter what. Sorry you had to endure that kind of BS. Please keep us as informed as possible, we all enjoy the info you are able to provide.

C-H-C,

That is ridiculous that someone is giving you such a difficult time. I am an avid UNH hockey fan and greatly appreciate all of the up-to-date information that you provide!

Re: UNH Recruits - 2011 & 2012

Micnicholas and Pesce are both performing very well at the USA hockey select 17 camp. Pesce is getting alot of attention from the NHL scouts and was told it that him getting drafted in the top couple rounds is very realistic. I wonder why Dylan Maller is not there?

Thanks CHC for all of the valuable information you give us. I am sure it is only one Maine fan messing with you. All of us UNH fans appreciate it!

You mean you don't go stalking around the rinks of the US hunting down teenagers, coaches, and others to extract information? I always thought that is what was necessary to get this sort of information these days.

I mean if only there was one place to search for information you know something easy you could do from any computer. People could store notes and documents, it would make communications much faster... oh wait, never mind.

As for the other stuff just ignore it, life is too short and by the way thanks for compiling the information

C-H-C you are very welcome, and thanks for the links.

I guess I spoke to soon about people bashing the program/coach. I for one wish I could understand half of that this guy writes. But then again, I didn't have to take french in high school or college, so it's hard understanding words that are not spelt out completely and put into proper sentance structure. Not that I have perfect writing skills. But I am sure he means; "that" not dat, and "thing" not ting, and "the" not da, and "hard" not ard. I could go on, but you know, I just can't resist poking fun.

Don't let them get to you, I have always appreaciated all the info you pass along, it is great stuff and I look forward to it, as always keep up the great work and thank you.

Re: UNH Recruits: 2012-2014

I don't post much in this thread (or at all), but thanks C-H-C for all the effort you put into this thread. This thread is always a good source to follow for great information about the recruits. The information you gather and post is easily worthy of it's own website for UNH recruit coverage.

Casey Thrush tweeted today that he's coming to UNH this fall:

"Excited to be headed up to UNH this fall but I will miss my teamates and billet family is Muskegon #wildcats #letsgojacks"

Casey Thrush tweeted today that he's coming to UNH this fall:

"Excited to be headed up to UNH this fall but I will miss my teamates and billet family is Muskegon #wildcats #letsgojacks"

I wonder if/how Casey Thrush's enrollment this fall will effect the incoming recruit list announced last month:
Jay Camper
Eric Chevrier
Dan Correalehttp://www.ajhl.ca/statistics/north_divsion_stats/grande_prairie_storm.html
Casey DeSmith
Grayson Downing
Ryan Randall
Trevor van Riemsdyk
Matt Willows

Possible implications (pure speculation):
~ Jay Camper has put his career on hold because of lingering concussion symptoms.
~ One of the forwards is having difficulty getting through admissions or has decided to play somewhere else.
~ The pursuit of Justin Kovacs (former NU recruit) came up empty so UNH moved Thrush up a year.
~ Thrush leaving the Muskegon Lumberjacks is potentially good news for 2013 recruit Michael McNicholas because it opens up a slot on their roster.

Re: UNH Recruits: 2012-2014

Defenseman Brett Pesce was named to the U.S. Under-18 Select Team that will compete at the 2011 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in August (http://www.americanjuniorhockey.com/news/news_detail.php?news_id=73442).
Seems odd that the leading scorer in the Select 17 Development Camp, Michael McNicholas, and the second leading scorer, Ryan Fitzgerald (BC Recruit), were not named to the team.

Had the same thoughts about those two being left off the roster. Maybe they know something we don't.
