The Saratoga area ... yes, very nice, indeed. In Mohawk, Saratoga means "hillside country of the quiet river". Thoroughbred mecca when horse racing was a thing. Enjoyable town for sure, best in the area by a country mile.
I've taken some of my teams to the Capitol Region for USYS Regional competitions about a decade or so ago, which I think were staged in Clifton Park. Nice set-up, nondescript suburb a few miles north of Albany. Stayed in Saratoga per direction of USYS tourney officials. Good memories.
Schenectady, on the other hand, means "what drunk landed us in this frickin' swamp in the middle of nowhere?"
Been there on business travel at least a half-dozen times in the course of my almost 40 year career. Made the mistake of staying in town once, never to be repeated. Been to Achilles once as well, pre-Vecchione. Drove in for the game, watched and left, and didn't stay overnight. Best decision I ever made, and also some of the worst concessions ever, but that's like complaining about the housekeeping at the Aleppo Hilton.
So ... UNH loses 3-2, yet outshoots Union 36-10 (?!?). Two nights in a row, spotting a mediocre Dutchmen squad a three (3) goal lead, there's some fantastic coaching going on with this group, I tellya ...
