UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

I think what is lost in all of this is the play of Chauvette. The stats don't reflect his performance. He gives up 6 last week to PC but none are his fault with poor D play. Last night the first goal he had no chance as Fitzy just let the guy hang out for the goal. I know we all love SOG talk but while BU did not pepper him with shots, it seemed liked all of their attempts were high quality

I mentioned him right off...wasnt lost on me! Esp in the 2nd...

He certainly wouldn’t be the first transfer goalie to save a season from the brink of disaster… I agree he looked solid last night. Can he keep it up down the stretch?

Like I mentioned last night, it’s pretty crowded from 6-11 in HEA right now. A good weekend can get you right back into the mix for a home playoff game, while a bad one can send you down to the cellar pretty quickly. A sweep this weekend could provide the confidence boost needed to right the ship for the stretch run.

So, mathematically we can still get to my preseason predicted 20 wins, which would make Chauvette = Helsten 2.0.
 
Well… they made it interesting there at the end, but “close” is only good in horseshoes and hand grenades as they say…

Definitely a better weekend, but we need more 5-6 point weekends, instead of splits if we are going to make headway in HEA down the stretch. At least we are scoring more, and we had a good weekend on the PP. We just need to work on these defensive lapses leading to grade A chances. With BUs talent they aren’t gonna miss too many of those.

Loved that they brought back the alternative blues for a second straight day. They should work them into the rotation more often.

Still in the basement for at least another week… onto UMA.
 
Well they made a game of it at the end. BU put the offensive pressure on and our chances were limited tho many were decent.
Overall I like our weekend-let's see how it translates. Curious how others saw it? (Note...still bums me out we haven't won there since 2014)..

Wow 2 penalties all night! Kudos to Brendan Fitz for a 3 point night..and Ryan Mac getting his first of the season. At least we out up some goals this weekend...

Onto UMass.
