UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

What is the sheet size at Lawler?
ugh, no idea...RenceB...? It's prob like ours it's just that it just seems that it's shorter/narrower and that 'all shots get to the net' within seconds haha

ok looked it up...UNH is 200 by 90. Not that the dimensions are that much different, maybe it's the feel of the arena, I dunno but it comes up alot of
how UNH struggles there..(which could be applied to a few places including, our home rink this season in particular).

MerrimackJ. Thom Lawler Rink200x85

No more excuses at places like Lawler, UNH did the shrink the rink thing.

Sure Lawler is 5 feet narrower, you don't hear BU (200 x 90) or Northeastern (200 x 90) or BC (200x87) complain about Lawler.

I don't remember complaints about Lawler being small and a hard place to play when UNH won 14 in a row in North Andover, when UNH went 25-6-3 at Merrimack from 1995-2005 (note the Whitt was 200 x 100 with deep corners all those years). Or 13-4-4 from 2000-2010... Or 11-5-5 from 2005-2015... Thanks AI - :)

Anything about that rink being hard to play in is just BS excuse making. It is along the lines of the "we do what we do" coaching nonsense, build a team and a system that can adjust to different styles of play. This coaching staff let this group of players down. I would be surprised (pleasantly) if UNH wins a game this weekend.

P.S. the Lawler problem seems a MS7 problem 2015-2026 - 2-8-3... in there was a 9 year winless streak. NOTE MS7's first year back at UNH, 2015. Gemini predicts Tonight's game is statistically likely to finish near a 3–2 Merrimack win based on the last 10 years typical 1 to 2 goal games and this season averages.

The thing that really sucks about Lawler is the low ceiling but that should have no bearing on the results when you play there.

Funny though it does impact UNH because they spend so much time in their zone and end having to flip the puck high to try and clear and change.

not do the extra selling and politics that position really requires so a win/win from a (short term) certain point of view.
Elwood. All Souza did was find the donor that financially jump started the upcoming renovation project. It's literally breathtaking how out to lunch you are.

Beyond the seats and occasional beer, no more money from me,
Elwood: Like you were pumping money into the program before...

You forever lament the days where you made the yearly $20 donation to the FOH and expected gratitude for the huge donation. People like you, Buford and Meathead really are remarkable. No shame at all.

When I think of "low ceiling" I personally think of Schneider, not Lawler

Seems like nonsense. BC has had the Pike's Peak Hockey Club forever and it's still going strong. I don't know if there were changes to rules by the NCAA about these clubs that Pike's Peak and BC had to make adjustments to how they were operating but that just doesn't pass the sniff in any way - the exception for Umile and the rule against the booster club for a single sport.
Not to continue on with the FOH stuff but isn't there a football booster club? Heard there was a skiiing one as well. Regardless, I will say that in my last meeting as a fan advisory member that Spring when it had all come down I let them know how many of us were feeling...that we felt totally blindsided
First, second bold = 🤔

Third bold = always have multiple info sources.

Sorry for not keeping up but how close are we to breaking ground..where is the project at this point?

Hey Fluffer, which section are your season tickets located in? How many seats do you have? * And how long have you had them?

And how much do you donate to UNH every year? Maybe there is a wall plaque with your name ** and donation level displayed somewhere on campus? Or in Concord under the golden dome?

* A rich guy like yourself probably purchased a whole section and then gives the tickets away to the less fortunate.
** Knowing you, surely the plaque would be labeled - ANONYMOUS.

Your saying Souza knocked on the door at Key Auto and got millions of Anthony Delorenzo? Seems a bit odd for someone who can't even meet with fans or stay for a team event.

It says 200x85 but it seems smaller than that. Could be an illusion since the building is tight.
Yeah, it seems smaller and I think it is the building being tight. Walter Brown always seemed really small to me too, 200X85, low ceiling, tight building. Rochester is 200x85 too and Lawler feels about the same size.
