UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

We need to sweep Scotty Borek’s team next weekend for any chance at 20 wins, oops, I meant for any chance to get out of the HEA cellar. When was the last time than UNH fans could do the “Drive home safely!” chant at Lawlor Rink?
Honestly the way they have been playing - do we see any other wins outside of next weekend? Maybe one against UMA later in February. I don’t see a good chance against the likes of BU, PU, or UConn going down the stretch.

I really hope I’m wrong. But I need to see some life to be convinced otherwise…

My count 2-4 winnable games because MC owns UNH since Borek got there.

So where do we want the 2nd half over/under win total... I am thinking 4 since they have one in the bank against Colgate.

Hey for MS7 that would be double last year's 2nd half win total... See improvement

Too long..Im going Friday..it looks like a sell out. Prob fewer UNH fans. MC coming off big sweep of NU...when was the last time we won there? Far as I can tell we have lost the last few by big margins?

Hate to abe a jerk but if we get swept that will be 💯 HE losses for MS7.. Surely thats gonna happen regardless but please...not to MC 😆

Scotty B can't wait...bwahahaha 😆

Ok, I will answer my own question. Last time that we won at Lawlor was on 25 October 2019, 3-2 in OT, better than I thought. We also won 2 of 3 at Lawlor in the HEA first round 3-5 March 2017, after losing 2 of 3 in the HEA first round the year before at Lawlor, 3-6 March 2016. Lawlor = UNH House of Horrors since we sent Scotty Borek packing.

So, my next question is when was the last time that we hosted a HEA post-season game?

To answer JB’s question, I honestly do not see another UNH win this season, although we might pull off an upset or two, which could happen against anyone, given that WE SWEPT MAINE IN ORONO JUST SIX WEEKS AGO! 🙂

Question for UNH fans. BC football has picked up a transfer from Eastern Michigan, an offensive lineman that went to the Tilton School, His last name is Snively. Is he any relation to the namesake of Snively Arena as he is coming from NH?

I believe the last time we hosted was in the 2023-2024 season when we were the 6 seed and we hosted the 11 seed UML who were devastated with injuries. We actually swept them the weekend before to secure the 6. We beat them 1-0 to advance to the second round where Maine gave us the latest postseason humiliation up in Orono.

Previous to that I think you have to go back to 13-14 season? The last time we made it to the HEA final where we got pummeled by UML.

Our growing number of losses will just continue to hurt Maines postseason hopes with NPI. I guess that is one very small consolation prize for continuing to lose… I’d much rather prefer to win but things need to change immediately.

If not, I’m hoping the school is willing to eat one year of remaining MS7 contract, compared to last year not wanting to eat 2 years…

Against UConn in 2015? I believe the Sabers Tage Thompson was in that game? Was it the next year we blew a 4 zip lead to them? I'd have to look that up...

Thanks for the info

Previous to the uml post season game I think (without looking) was 2015 v UConn..2014 was against Jimmy Madigans NU Huskies with Clay Witt between the pipes (where he knocked the net off all night but I digress...)

Ah yes I stand corrected. I should remember I was at that game haha.

I was thinking of the 2nd round game in 2015 where the Pesce OT goal at PU sent us to the Garden (our last trip to the garden if I remember correctly).

I also believe that was PU’s last loss of the year as they ran the table and took home the big hardware.

Lol we all relished that W over PC as we knocked them out at the Garden in '14 but alas Nate Leaman gets the last laugh with his 2015 Natty...ah memories. Speaking of PC that's gonna be one tough series 😳

There is absolutely no way that UNH would ever eat MS7’s salary for his third contract year, no way, no how, never will happen. I also will not be surprised if MS7 negotiates another three-year contract in April 2027 based on lack of progress on the new locker room, so we are likely looking at April 2030 for our next chance for a coaching change. By then we will likely have five straight seasons as HEA basement dwellers, FWIW.
