UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

Andrew Poturalski getting some internet love for his KHL shootout goal.

That is an absolutely fantastic, elite level shootout goal by AP. No one ever questioned his skills, and this was an excellent reminder.

He is keeping the dream alive, kudos to him, many others have moved on with far less obstacles.

Sean Goldrich returning to UNH (played QB in early 2010s) as head football coach.
Interesting hire. McDonnell was on search committee. He picked one of his former players, as was the case when he picked Santos. Goldrich has no prior head coaching or offensive/defensive coordinator experience. He is QB coach/recruiting coordinator at UDelaware. Didn't many people here excoriate Umile/Scarano for following a similar path to Mike Souza?

The hire does seem to lack creativity and the shortage of meaningful experience you highlight is notable. I think he has a more legit resume than Souza stepping in to the role but it does seem like a reach. Here's hoping it works out.

Playing with former first overall Nail Yakupov.

They list him as a "5th line" center, and he doesn't look like he's been given much ice time. At any rate, on to the championship game tomorrow. This team has surprised, especially since the top college hockey talent is currently playing in the World Juniors.
Yes, he was the extra skater and got a lot of ice time. I watched bits and pieces, and he had a big block and couple of hustle plays. He also had a great chance in front. The announcers mentioned the coach giving him regular shifts. Can't wait to see what he can do in the second half this year.

He had a great breakaway ...didnt play in Sunday's game. Wonder if he gets in tomorrow's game as hes been listed as an 'extra forward'.

Love how this team has turned this tournament on its ear!
