Let's hope so, but with a certain coach at the helm it will be a crap shoot .What's up with that? I see Nico T is tearing it up but can that translate once he's here?

For the style of play the system is set up for they need goal scorers, finishers. They really don't have anybody like a John Mustard at Providence that can nail that shot high glove side just under the ba
Maybe Souza should reevaluate his system then..For the style of play the system is set up for they need goal scorers, finishers. They really don't have anybody like a John Mustard at Providence that can nail that shot high glove side just under the bar.
Systems? We don't need no stinking systems!Maybe Souza should reevaluate his system then..![]()
Yes the sound system was unbearable. Winced every time it came on.Nice rink but soooo loud!!!! If I ever return will bring ear plugs...Chuck you would've loved it ..Rush seemed to be the band of choice..
I mean I've been to Van Halen concerts that weren't as loud..ha!Yes the sound system was unbearable. Winced every time it came on.
Now you're
Now you're off the rails. Guess I really did hit a nerve. Take a deep breathe and count to ten. If that doesn't work go for a long walk on the beach. If all else fails seek professional help.

..sigh. And to think it was UML anchored by a top keeper..that began my UNH fandom. OK back to reality they had some great years..what 3 HE titles? But no trips to the Dance. Turned out some NHL'ers along the way. And oh yeah I sat through at least 3 / 8 to 2 beat downs at the hands of the River Hawks.Lowell has really fallen off in the last few years.

Skimming the web it seems like Bazin has gone a bit stale, and the CHL gamble hasn't been a success.
You wonder how quick of a “hook” UML will have with Bazin. He seems to be following a bit of the Umile arc (someone else mentioned it here before, I think Chuck?) albeit his “golden age” was far shorter than Umile. A great coach for most of the 2010s and a few HE titles to boot. He has a lot to be proud of during his tenure at the helm, especially leading a school/program that was historically not very good in HE. As HR noted though, he hasn’t had much success in the big dance.Lowell has really fallen off in the last few years.

Hey Ref .Lowell made the FF in 2013 after beating you guessed it UNH 2-0 in the North East Regional. They lost to Yale 3-2 in OT in the semifinals. This is the last time UNH made the tourney...sigh. I hadn't been keeping up with them and was shocked to learn they had only won 8 games season before last...when we beat them 1 zip in the first round. Not sure whats up there things change as we know. Some things (and people) lose their lustre.
I guess in the end it's always satisfying to get wins with them somehow it makes what happened in 2013 that more bearable..!
Ps. Feel free to correct any inaccuracies I mean I thought Sam O was 25 so...
Doh of course had just referenced thst game in an earlier post. think I had them mixed up with NU geeze not batting 1.000 around these parts!Hey Ref .Lowell made the FF in 2013 after beating you guessed it UNH 2-0 in the North East Regional. ... very sad indictment on UNH, and a true sign of how we have come to accept mediocrity as the new norm…
I can agree with this. I think we talked about this a few pages back related to this point (shame on me for not following my own definition haha!)The problem is mediocrity would be a vast improvement. Mediocrity would be annually 4th-7th in Hockey East.
Mediocrity would give the "Souza Excuse Crew" some credence that the facilities had a major roll as the problem.
Mediocrity would like you to stop giving it a bad name by calling MS7's complete train wreck mediocrity.
These next two games (UMA and whoever in the first round) will be very telling.OK... just rewatched Convicts vs Catholics with a friend that hadn't seen it. If you haven't seen that ESPN 30 for 30 it is great.
... and ...
There is a significant T-shirt component to the story.
If MS7 is back, wonder if a Souza Excuse Crew T-shirt would sell / work. Blue and White of course... Souza Excuse Crew on the front, the back is a derailed train with a hockey themed cargo all over... avoids the trade mark issue the shirt makers ran into in Convicts vs Catholics. Would be one heck of a protest.
I remember Norbert said that - I was moreso curious why the school hasn’t made a public announcement about this? Or at least I haven’t seen anything on it. I would feel this would be something worth mentioning in the news, on social media, etc. But it’s been crickets it seems. They break ground on renovations next week
