Thought UNH might have a chance, given he liked the prep school nearby.
Maybe wants to play closer to home?

I had interest from UNH, RPI, UMass and Arizona State
UNH interest in another Skipjack who made his USHL team, but missed out to Arizona State this July.

New recruit. Ryan Verrier, '98 LD at Austin Prep. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=229863
Found some material: SB Nation had this in December: http://www.sbncollegehockey.com/hig...on-central-catholic-ryan-verrier-devon-tongue
OTB had this in May: We’ve written about him a few times in the past and now entering his Junior season: it’s time to step into more of a leadership role. In last year’s Super 8 he showed added strength, good decision-making and poise. His skating game is still his greatest asset but he has improved since we first saw him the year before. Looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for him as an upperclassman.

Good to see some movement on the recruiting front. Preliminary reports do not make it sound like he is going to be a superstar but I like to hold back on my judgement of any prospect until he hits the ice wearing blue and white. So hopefully Ryan fits in and makes a name for himself when he shows up. Also, lets hope some other pieces begin falling into place in the near future.
Recruit Charlie Kelleher had a 4 point (2-2-4) game last night in USHL pre-season action.

Really? So, arriving in 2018, year after MacAdams? Born in Reading, like Saviano and Sean Collins.
Souza does seem to have an eye for things other Division I recruiters have missed. I'm guessing very little money promised, more of a solid for Sean Collins, who Souza probably hopes is developing some connections due to his work for the new scouting site.

They are on their way, just around the cornerDoes he? Or are we simply left having to hope this is the case? What happened to all the recruits the pro-Souza crowd promised - ones who were supposed to make Jordan Sandhu look like a nobody...
Mike Souza is a great recruiter as he essentially beat UNH out for 4 of the best players on the UConn team. I know some will give all the credit to Cavanaugh but they were not his recruits. They started beating us out for the top players that BC/BU/now Prov did not pursue wholeheartedly and Northeastern has beaten us out for some top players (one who left to go to an inferior league and two brothers that have been critical to their success). As Watcher knows, many of their recruits will be coming free as BU, BC, Providence and Northeastern have over-recruited at levels we have not seen in a long while. BC can handle it due to so many stars leaving for the pros but I think the others are going to cull the rosters and we might be able to take a few like Vecchione and LaLeggia when we deferred them. There are some CA stars, Western Canada stars, one or two Ontario stars and as always a good number of blue states on 95 kids that might be the next Bobby Butler.

recruiting is starting to be more focused! Word has it Souza and Stewie had the top 2000 recruit on campus recently, just MVP of Midget Minor Silver Stick in Ontario!
