UNH at Dartmouth - 01/15/11 The Battle for the Riverstone

gounhwildcats

Go Cats!! Beat Maine!!!
Hey all. 45 minutes to game time, but I don't have anything going on so I thought I'd get a head start on the thread. Should be a good battle tonight, well depending on which Dartmouth shows up. This one is at the Verizon, so it's supposed to be a neutral site. Dartmouth is considered the home team tonight. Hope you're all having a good weekend. LET'S GO CATS!!

Dean :)

Re: UNH at Dartmouth - 01/15/11 The Battle for the Riverstone

Dartmouth gets the home bench tonight, and wears white, but that's it. UNH supplies the staff, announcer, etc.. I don't think Dartmouth, as an institution has ever been as interested in this game.

Having said, this could be the best Dartmouth team UNH has faced here. Their goalie comes in with number like a. 940 save% and a gaudy 1.84 GAA. They'll be loooking to make a statement against UNH tonight.

I am at the game, but will do my best to update live, since I understand there is no video feed, just audio...

From the sounds of it Wild E. Cat and Gnarlz have skated onto the ice.

Re: UNH at Dartmouth - 01/15/11 The Battle for the Riverstone

Mello with a big save on Sislo keeps it 0-0. 2:35 gone in the first.

Re: UNH at Dartmouth - 01/15/11 The Battle for the Riverstone

UNH scores!!! MIKE SISLO SCORES TO GIVE THE WILDCATS THE 1-0 LEAD AT 5:37 OF THE FIRST!!!

EDIT: Paul "Hobey" Thompson got credit for the goal.

Re: UNH at Dartmouth - 01/15/11 The Battle for the Riverstone

Huh, in the arena they said it was Thompson...

Parkhurst said they thought it was Sislo's goal and the official scorer had it as Sislo's goal. However, they just changed the official score to credit the goal to Thompson.

From here, Thompson carried the puck towards the net, from there I lost it but didn't see anybody else touch it.

9:10 left, Kipp just had a nice clean check in the UNH zone.

As bad as your view may have been, mine was far worse ;)

Re: UNH at Dartmouth - 01/15/11 The Battle for the Riverstone

Dean, is it just us in here?

Ya, looks like it. I imagine Erin, Scott and Gibber are at the game. It's Chad's birthday so he's out for the night. As for Richard, I'm not sure. His work takes him out of the country a lot so maybe he's travelling.

Nice save by DiGi keeps it 1-0 Cats. 5:30 left to play in the first.
