UNH at Dartmouth - 01/15/11 The Battle for the Riverstone

Re: UNH at Dartmouth - 01/15/11 The Battle for the Riverstone

Game over

DC 5 - UNH 4

I'm gonna go punch a couple of holes in my wall. Nice seeing you all tonight and look forward to seeing you all next week :).

Dean :)

And that's all. Ah well. Congrats Dartmouth, well-played -- every time UNH countered with a tying goal, you answered, and had the last say.

Go Pats! Beat them Jets!

And good night to Dean -- take it easy on those walls, OK???

Anyone know what Umile was going ballistic about during the timeout after Dartmouth's game winning goal? There appeared to be an obvious missed penalty in the final minute that also made him irate but I had no clue about what had him going immediately after the goal.

I was sitting in 109 and I thought that the final goal *might* have been scored with a high stick... I am not completely sure though, as the puck was screened to me by the goalie. The refs had a clearer vantage point, and I assume they were right...

That being said, they might have also given it to us as a make-up for the play they reviewed missed earlier, a confirmation of a no-goal call that made me wonder about the quality of the cameras in the AHL, as I am pretty sure I saw the puck go in and off the center back-post...

they didn't review anything, they didn't have the capability to in that game, otherwise they would have reviewed the final goal (which personally live and on replay I thought it was good, but would have been reviewed for sure.) The non-goal was the right call, I was shooting along that goal line and it hit the cross bar... I have a photo of the puck in the air behind DiGi's head that could have only happened if it hit the cross bar.

I'll refrain from commenting on anything else from this game :p

Thanks for the clarification!

Now I am dumbfounded at what the refs were doing in the officials review box -- they reviewed at least two plays! If they had no access to video, were they just talking?
