UNH 2024/2025 Goldberg Edition

In the inimitable words of our long-ago buddies from Chestnut Hill ... "Hang a banner"
Instead of STH Appreciation Night on March 8th, perhaps the Mites who line up with the Cats for the National Anthem can give each UNH player a participation ribbon and some snacksized Chips Ahoys to recognize their effort during the ceremony for the "we tried really, really hard banner" unveiling.

Whoa whoa whoa hold the phone guys, out of 20,000 simulations there is a 0.1% chance UNH gets an at-large bid.

Don't cancel the parade in Durham just yet!
Don’t play with Snively’s emotions… he’s just got to acceptance, a major step!

BTW, someone said the parade was only two cars. So the logistics isn’t a concern more than a text message between Chuck and Snively.

Fishy, do you REALLY think your Governor is playing with a full deck when s/he is putting Federal funding at stake by violating the President's executive order banning "trans athletes" from competing in Women's sports?? I mean, watching her get dunked on face-to-face by Trump was glorious and all ... but doesn't that seem to be a weird (and very small) hill to choose to die on???

And isn't it curious how it's always trans dudes trying to beat girls, and not trans girls trying to play against guys?

Quick question for spanky ... is the Governor your mama, or is s/he your daddy? 👦??👧

Couldn't have been fun, watching xir get taken out to the woodshed on national TV, understand your feels may be hurt :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I definitely keep the politics off my social media. But it is cathartic to say to whoever may read/listen: Mills doesn’t speak for me. In addition to nonsensical hills to die on, in 2022 the state budget had an $822 million surplus. Say what you will about former Gov Paul LePage, but he was fiscally responsible during his terms.

Anyway, there was some bickering on “what to do with the money” - my favorite thing about governments proverbial holes in their pockets….fast forward to Mills set a budget plan AGAIN to raise taxes last month due to $450 million short fall for the upcoming year. Almost $1.3 Billion swing in 3 years….

Notwithstanding Maine's reputation as the Mississippi of the North, how can a state, which is already the 4th highest taxed in the country at 10.75%, conceivably need additional revenue?

Then again, most of the Augusta legislature are probably Orono grads with its subterranean national academic ranking and a highly selective 99% acceptance rate.

The best and brightest, indeed.

Or,let's get a real coach. Let's face it Souzas rein as head coach has been a complete failure, from horrible recruiting to what it seems to me a lackluster conditioning program. His pick for Asst coach made no sense to me and it hasn't panned out at all. It's time for change or just get 10 WHL players like Bowling Green did.
What assistant coach (s) are you referring to? And yeah..maybe in 2 years we might get lucky and have a coaching change...I dont feel hopeful in the least about having the change happen any sooner...sigh.

While I agree with your assessment on MS7 as a coach, he's not on the ice making sloppy passess, not finishing checks, blowing coverage on D or allowing soft goals through the five hole either.
This! Souza is absolutely to blame but he’s not on the ice. Even if he’s lost the team it’s their job to make the plays, to finish checks, to pass the puck and SHOOT the puck and they don’t. The commentators last night even made a comment during the power play that UNH spent way too much time passing the puck. I’m all for supporting the players but they also don’t seem to care or want to put the effort in.

Perfection is the enemy of the good for the Cats PP.

Rather than funding the cheerleaders or the dance team with the 50-50, let's promote The Coach Souza Buyout Fund at home games.

Our coaching problems will be solved by the end of the second period.
The “new and improved” 50/50 sounds like a DEI program. Maybe Musk can come in and take a chainsaw to the athletic department.
