UNH 2024/2025 Goldberg Edition

You know the team is bad when the thread becomes flooded with content unrelated to the product. I'm worried Conmy transfers after this season, but I wouldn't blame him either, this team is killing the stock of these drafted players. Hope Souza gets fired and we can restart the program.
All it takes is one troll and a sprinkling of political bait and 10 takers come out and give us all their opinion.

My vote is still for: UNH 2025 / 2026 - Don’t take the bait

Sad part is? Once again we have nothing to look forward to...had tickets for the Regional in hopes that we would be there but could care less if I go or not.
The thought of seeing that UNH logo on the ice/boards will just pizz me off...

Well that’s certainly not the spirit ;) I get it, we all want the ‘cats in the regionals, but it is a treat having four of the top teams often including one or two we rarely see in Manch every other year for a great weekend of college hockey.

Did the “Report” button always exist or is it a feature of the updated forum?

+1 on the thread name.

Well yeah you have a point there. And I've been to everyone of them (Manchester) since 2013.

For the record ... if someone comes on "another" thread, I'm totally cool with it. As long as there's good faith, I love a good debate.

And if you prefer the last four years of "Weekend at Bernie's" to someone who believes in common sense, is on the right side of all the 80-20 issues, and is going to uphold the rule of law instead of weaponizing the government to punish his foes, continue with the TDS, please. The guy won a landslide, after everything the other side did to prevent him from even running. Contrarian much??

The Musk thing is the most overplayed whine of all time. President Magoo slept through the better part of the last four years, and Cackles McPlatypus was probably sh!tfaced for most of that stretch. Where was your curiosity about who was really in charge the last four years when that was all going on? Or was it OK because it was really an illegal Obama 3rd term all along??? FWIW, Musk was a non-GOP liberal who was brought to his current state by watching the last four years. Let's face it, those who used to adore him, and now detest him, are generally nothing more emotionally than jilted teenage fanboys/girls. Sad.

To say it's amusing to listen to the whining about the transparent means of disclosing rampant government fraud going on down in DC is an understatement of increasingly epic proportions.

Feel badly that you're no longer in your native Maine. As you're in NY, I hope
Good God, you're really as stupid as advertised if you think your orange turd and his South African boss are making the least bit of sense...

But, having said that, I sincerely apologize to the bulk of UHN fans who are here for the hockey chat. I just saw fat Chuckie genuflect to his moron hero (on this very thread, several pages back ) and I behaved as a libtard. Sorry. I'll rein it in completely.

Going forward, I won't post here about how demonstrably stupid tRump is, I promise. ..Nor will I point-out how his supporters fucked themselves. Neither will I comment on how he publicly fellates Putin, our sworn enemy. Those facts are self-evident, but I won't harp on them... Not at all, because that would upset the old gas-bag that we all hold so dear. (That being the bowlhead dope, Chuck.)

In parting, I'm not like the younger generation of Maine fans who seem to despise UNH. I'm old enough to remember the great Umile teams. (I even met both Dick and his trophy wife in a Hartford bar, way back when... Boy, she had a potty-mouth that rivalled my own, but they were fun to visit with.)

Anyway, I always rooted for them when they weren't playing Maine. The UNH 1st line in '99 was perhaps the most talented (and terrifying) I've ever seen. The cherry on that sundae was that Mark Mowers was a local kid, here in CNY, and my mom was a friend of his mom.

It doesn't look promising for UNH this year, but I'm pulling for that program to resurrect itself soon. Hockey East is a much better conference when New Hampshire is kicking ass and taking names.

No Poturalski in Sharks-Jets game on NHL channel tonight, so guess that his call up ended with three games?
Sadly, that does indeed appear to be the case, Snives, this appeared in the news yesterday ...

The Barracuda had won all six previous meetings this season, so it had to feel good for the Firebirds to finally break through against a San Jose team that includes former Firebirds favorites Andrew Poturalski and Jimmy Schuldt.

Too bad. With the parent San Jose team buried in last place, and his AHL mentor in charge of the Sharks, it looked like Poturalski might get an extended run with the big club for a change. Appears not much has changed in AP's world otherwise ...

Classy take on Coach Umile's wife, Fishy. Not that I expected any better from you. Say what you will about my Walshy cave drawings late last century, but they never involved his wives nor his children.

The TDS runs strong and deep in you. At least you have the good sense not to defend the indefensible last four years. I don't expect any of this to make any sense to you, considering the bizarro-world "norms" your Dem colleagues believe in. Speaking of which, to the mothers in our audience, Governor Evers (D-WI) comes in an agonizingly close second place to Governor Mills for this beauty ...

Go ahead, harp on, Fishy. I don't agree with everything DJT does/says, but like most of the country now, we realize just how much smarter and sane he is, as compared to the contrarian "geniuses" who are down with all the lefty fringie causes. Knock yerself out ...

Reading this post explains a whole lot about all your other posts, delusional and a member of a cult.
The most amusing part of your post - and there is a lot; the irony is super rich, but I'll leave that untouched here, consider it my professional courtesy to a fellow UNH fan - is that Jack is following along (as usual) hiding in the weeds to read everything I write. And don't worry if you don't know who Jack is. He knows. Just lurks, egging on anyone who has the cojones he so sorely lacks ...

Another tough loss for the Sharks tonight after nursing a 1-0 lead most of the game until giving up an EAG and then losing in OT to the Jets. Here are AP’s AHA stats for the past 10 seasons: 514 games, 152 goals and 319 assists for 471 points. Not quite Darren Haydar AHA numbers, but not too shabby.

UNH hasn’t won a hockey game since January 4th. With only a dominating BC team and good ULowell team left on the schedule, there’s a good chance UNH won’t win again.

I think it’s incumbent on Souza to approach the AD and ask to work out some type of buyout. Souza is a good man. I’d imagine he’s suffering quite a bit just knowing the hell his players are enduring. Souza’s career at UNH was outstanding with many great moments. The kids Souza recruited are experiencing no good moments in the program.

Btw, Souza doesn’t look too good behind the bench. Weight gain and negative high stress take it out of a guy.

If anyone is wondering what the difference between normal and crazy is fishy dope just cleared it up for you.

How much smarter he is? Sure...he sounds a lot like you when he talks. Blabs forever, never really makes a point, and thinks they are all that.

While Umile always looked like he had steam coming out of his ears and could explode at any moment, MS7 appears on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

In a recent UL article he says he 'feels for the guys' so perhaps he takes your suggestion but I'm not holding my breath..

On a positive note incoming forward Sam Oliver sure is having a banner season leading the QMJHL with 46 goals...I mean I'm look for good stuff!
Ps I miss 'Watcher..

Am I the only one who thinks this might be the last regional in Manchester? Nothing available until 2029, and college hockey could look quite different then. (Potential realignment, change in playoff format, etc.) Plus, the interest in hosting was part of the previous regime in the Field House, not sure how the current AD feels, or how long she will be around.

Also, the Curse of the Jumbotron is nothing compared to the Curse of the Manchester Regional. UNH went to the Frozen Four 4 times in 6 seasons from 1998-2003. The first regional in Manchester was in 2004 and they haven't sniffed the FF since then.
