UNH 2024/2025 Goldberg Edition

The initial donation from the Alfonds came when Red was coach. Most of the talent on last year’s team was recruited by Red and co. Ben’s done a great job as coach but I don’t think people should be giving credit where it isn’t due.

Drew, you are foolish if you believe that. You think Barr has nothing to do with this turn around and the donors coming back. Go sell foolish to someone else.

So, your theory is its not so much the coach. All we have to do is find a $500 million donor? I feel better.

Find a $500MM donor and some sympathetic politicians.

I don’t think either Red or Barr had much influence as far as the donation goes. Barr has done a great job as far as the coaching piece of the job and this year brought in a good class of transfers. Red left him with some really good talent and perhaps some extra money in the budget. He launched the Grant Standbrook fund but it’s a state secret as far as how much money it’s raised and if any of it is being used.

Ha, UNH basketball was killed by UMA on NESN last night so figured that helped Souza’s cause.

UNH Hoops suckage isn’t exactly a new thing. When your program’s GOAT coaches are Gib Chapman and Bill Herrion, that tells its own tale.

So, you think that the UNH AD regrets canning her former basketball head coach Herrion? Maybe she will extend a lifetime head coaching contract to Souza?

As previously harped, the NCAA is about to approve most CHL players eligible for NCAA play for next season - fall 2025. UNH loses ~10 skaters and a goalie-or-two at the end of this season. Mike Lowry shows 6 incoming/commited skaters scheduled for fall 2025. That, in theory, leaves 4 skater slots open. Seems that the passports of the coaching staff should be getting worn thin with the trips to Canada (and Euro).

As per the trips abroad wonder where that money is coming from? At one time funds from FOH helped out that cause.

Would love to see UNH pick up some decent players out of that.

oh I know...just a dig. Welcome Mainers. My point...I guess I just don't like being trolled over a coach WE did not want. Whatever. Today I don't have it for much...

Should we troll mildcat fans over the whole No Hardware thing?

or that Newfields voted overwhelmingly Democrat Blue (just to troll Chuck),

or that Conmy will enter the portal and make something of himself like Connecticut’s goalie, Muszelik, did or or just turn pro, like Hellsten did?

(And it is nowhere near as fun trolling a nice person like hockeyref…it was much more fun trolling SteveF and the collar up crowd from BC)

Was SteveF the “milk carton” poster? Or, am I confusing him with someone else? I thought that the milk carton skits were very creative and funny.

What a wonderful last 24+ hours it's been here in Effingwoods!! :D Troll away, I left those virtue signaling lefties from Newf behind several years ago, although someone I know drove through the old stomping grounds early this a.m. to announce the voting results to the townies, & ran over their pathetic light blue lawn signs, etc. Concord is completely Red again, and of course, the YUGE victories in DC. Effingwoods has never been bettah!!! :D :D :D :D :D

You'll have to remind me who you used to be; anyone who remembers FSteve (RIP BTW?) goes back many a year ...

At one time funds from FOH helped out that cause.

A case study in how to win friends and influence people by Blue Skies, our AD f/k/a/ SB and MS7. The logic of undermining the most avid of UNH fans has never made sense nor has been adequately explained to the public.

MS7 appears to want to be a one man band when every true leader knows that delegation of authority and responsibility is his friend.

I’m pretty sure he was the milk carton guy…I forgot about those. He put Ben Bishop on one. And someone dug up Patrick Eave’s computer project where he posted a selfie in a maroon speedo and posted that as a response.
