A bit out of the way for out of towners staying downtown, though.

If they're going to be driving outside of downtown, knowing UND fans they'd rather hit the bars on Leavenworth.

UNO fans are great hosts and have a great venue. The Quest Center is awesome 2nd only to the Palace aka (The Ralph) in GF.

Had a great time there last year including going to a Creighton basketball game. Mavs were 1 of top 3 teams of all the teams I watched last year. Miami OH, UND and UNO

Your teams past glories don't mean anything this weekend, none of those players are playing on this team and the coach that was either an assistant or the head coach for 4 of those 7 banners is now standing behind our bench. Coach Blais has these guys playing lights out. I expect a split but wouldn't be surprised if UNO sweeps.

Not according to their fan bases. No one wants to give UNO any credit for he wins they have had, but they've walked into tough venues and taken points. They're also extremely tough to beat in Omaha under Dean Blais. I don't expect that either team will leave this series without at least one point.

That said, I hope UND has the same attitude that their fanbase seems to have because if that is the case, they'll be making a long trip home with their feathered head dresses firmly entrenched in their cracks.

The Sioux players stopped wearing feathered headdresses a couple years ago. They kept falling down over the players' eyes making it difficult to see the puck.

Not to butt in but I am coming to omaha for a game in a few weeks. I've been there before and stayed downtown and had fun. Sooo, If I stay downtown is that close to the rink?

Can't do much hatin' against a team we've never seen before - at least live, in person and in our barn. However, that may change.

Coach Blais will definitely have UNO playing lights out, especially for this series, but I'm not sure if that will be enough to close the talent gap between the two teams. I really wouldn't be surprised by any result this weekend. I think UNO is good enough to take 4 points, especially if North Dakota takes a bunch of penalties. Saying that, if we put up a defensive effort like we did last weekend, North Dakota will walk out with 4 points. At the end of the weekend though, I think the most realistic thought would be a split.

If you do go outside of downtown. I'd recommend Barrett's on about 44th and Leavenworth, just south of the med center. Probably the best "bar food" in Omaha. Great burgers and phillies.

If you want a good scotch, the Dundee Dell is great and that's just about another mile up the road.

If you're looking for a dynamite breakfast, Lisa's Radial Cafe isn't real far away either, I'm happy to give directions, it's on 40th and Cuming, but get there early, it's a small place and is fantastic.

Is it Friday yet? It's going to be an awful lot of fun!

I'll give UNO credit...I've only seen the UNO/UMN series, but they thoroughly outplayed the Gophers and looked very good in doing so.
Very hard working team, very good skaters...

Should be a great series.
Much like last weekend against UW, I'd be happy with a road split for the Sioux being that UNO is a tough team. Anything more than that would be gravy.
