UND @ UAA, Oct 23-24

Re: UND @ UAA, Oct 23-24

Congrats on a much better game tonight, UAA.
A great turnaround from last night.

I would imagine that we won't see a blog post from Donald talking about crappy reffing after tonight's game concludes. :D

Re: UND @ UAA, Oct 23-24

UAA could have been called for more penalties, they were holding and interferring all game. However, UND lost simply because they played with NO passion, and UAA was clearly awake. The 2nd goal was clearly offside, everyone posted it as they came over the line. The linesmen (and I use that term loosely) in Anchorage are terrible.

UAA played much better tonight. UND didn't show up until 5:00 left in the game.

Congrats to the Seawolves...they earned those 2 points.

Did you just copy/paste that from Donald's blog last night and change the team names? :D

Great effort from the Seawolves, they deserved that win. Now go get those Gophers next weekend. :)

Actually, the refs did do a pretty crappy job. I have yet to see a WCHA ref that is worth his salt.

Great game Seawolves! Congrats Bryce, you almost got the shut out! Every UAA player stepped up and played Seawolf hockey tonight, total turn around from last night. They really messed up UND's game.

I am so glad my team won't be playing the Sioux again this season.

Sioux Sweep

Sioux sweep

Sioux Sweep
2times

Sioux Sweep
3times

It seems to me that Alaska always plays us tough but with the talent we will have on the ice we should be able to take 2 this weekend.. I agree with Dirty(big MISTAKE)...Sioux sweep

I'm copying Dirty(big MISTAKE)
Sioux Sweep

I'm copying SloeGin(not so much big MISTAKE, as bad JUDGEMENT) who's copying Dirty(big MISTAKE).

Sioux Sweep. This is an original thought.
Not, see above.. and below :O)

Seapups get SWEPT!!!!!!!!

Sioux Sweep
numba four

Sioux Sweep
Before Fridays game
After Fridays game
Sioux Sweep
numba five
Dirty = Doink

Friday, UAA didn't even come to play against d-3 opposition. It was not good, UND played well and took it to the team. Someone sure kick started their collective butts though. Saturday, totally different team chemistry. I love J.O. but it's time to give Bryce the reins and let him lose them. Better athletism, better positioning, and way better puck handling. And I mean, he's gotta have terrible losing streak to lose the job. Michigan was a fluke.

One last thing... who's got more points against the sioux? UAA(2)>UM(1)

Re: UND @ UAA, Oct 23-24

We've seen a similar thing for the last 3 weeks now: a UAA team that can bring it's A game one night but not the other! During the Kendall, the obvious worse evening was Michigan. In Squarebanks, Robert Morris, to some extent. This weekend, Friday night. Usually UAA does better on home-ice on Friday games, possibly based on jet lag or whatever other reasons. Either way I think that they've gotta be able to play 2 full games of hockey in order to succeed.

Nonetheless, terrific win tonight! Quite a bummer that Bryce didn't get the shutout, but still a great game. I think he showed himself extremely well tonight and deserves to start more games again. Michigan was a fluke and anybody that thinks the loss was solely his fault must be sorely mistaken! Defense looked a lot steadier tonight and once the offense got jumpstarted, they really took off as well. All in all, a much better game all around! Keep it up going into next weekend.

Re: UND @ UAA, Oct 23-24

The only thing left for ACC to figure out is who's better North Dakota or Michigan because they both put a beatdown on the seapuppies.

So bird for brains....let's try and figure this out step by step for you, perhaps the UAF education can kick in somewhere along.....

1) ACC? Very creative.....but than how would that make the mighty "Flagship" () school feel about losing so much to a lowly Community College?

2) Seapuppies? How derogatory! However the 80-48-11 record against the Squarebanks Frozen Teddy Bears may beg to differ.

3) You are constantly the one to remind all of us SEAWOLF (just in case you needed some spelling help...) how we are always trolling in the Teddy Bear threads. Correct me if I'm wrong here bird breath, but what exactly would this be called?

Have a nice day birdboy! :D

You got your early X-Mas gift. Yay. :D

Re: UND @ UAA, Oct 23-24

Congrats on your win, Seawolves, now go sweep the gophers! Sad that we, the Sioux, didn't play better. I was watching it on Webcast and didn't have the best reception, so it was hard to tell (see) if the goals UAA made were good quality or if Eidsness was not playing well. Although I thought we didn't look very sharp as a whole, couldn't get nothing going. :( Bummer!

Re: UND @ UAA, Oct 23-24

Congrats Seawolves!!! I picked you to win one in this series, just the wrong night. Anyway, have a great week of practice and see if you can extend the goofers scoreless streak. Ill be rooting for you!!!

Oh my god, that was pretty accurate right there. The reffing in this series blew chunks.

That gets me thinking someone told me that the refs suck. I said, at least they are consistent. Doing a poor job night in night out is consistency. This summer we were told that the refs were going to call the obstruction, and protect the puck carrier, I saw a lot events on both ends of the ice that should have been called. I saw some nice hits that were penalized and shouldn't have been.

I am going to make a prediction, UMN and UAA will see a combination of the following WCHA officials, Hunt, Derek Shepherd and or Jon Campion with daddy shep sitting in the stands. Just a hunch and UAA will not get away with any obstruction this next weekend.
