UND @ UAA, Oct 23-24

Re: UND @ UAA, Oct 23-24

UAA article on Lunden and Info on this weekend's series.
http://www.adn.com/3530/story/984068.html

Kids who wear Seawolves colors on Green & Gold Fridays and are accompanied by a paying adult can get two complimentary tickets, as can kids who wear a hockey sweater on Youth Jersey Saturdays and are accompanied by a paying adult. The tickets are available only on game nights at Sullivan, starting an hour before opening face-off. Go to the student desk at the northwest (main) entrance to the arena to get the tickets.

Free tickets to youth under 12.
Guess Dirty gets in free if he wears a Seawolves Jersey.:p

Attention, Sioux alumni: A reception is set for 5-6 p.m. tonight at Sullivan, with beer, soda and food provided. More info: Robert Bredesen, 258-1747.

What a dilema drink beer then pick up free youth tickets. Better to pick up youth ticket first then drink beer.

...the Seawolves could again be down to five defensemen tonight...
Shyiak said senior defenseman Nils Backstrom (wrist) remains out and has not been practicing. Senior Trevor Hunt (wrist surgery) is listed as questionable -- he's practicing with limited contact. And Shyiak lists junior Luka Vidmar (groin/hip) as doubtful.

Backstrom and Hunt have yet to play this season and Vidmar missed the loss to Robert Morris. Those three have a combined 221 games of college experience and all three play on special teams, so the Seawolves are hurting without them.
If the new guys playing special teams for UAA saw video's of last weeks Sioux v Gophers series they should be feeling a bit uneasy about now.:p

Sioux special teams players should be excited about this series.:)

But wait, Donald says the Seapups have more significant players than the Sioux. That settles it doesn't it?

Way more significant players, especially upperclassmen.
If every game were rated based upon upperclassmen, the Sioux (being by far the youngest team in the WCHA) would lose every game. :)

and according to Donald, he underrated UAA's players and overrated many Sioux players. :D

Sioux (being by far the youngest team in the WCHA) :)

Last week in the Gopher telecast of the Sioux/Gopher series they raised the issue of the average age of the players and Woog and company claimed that on average the Gopher players were 1 month younger than the Sioux players.

So maybe the Sioux are the 2nd youngest team in the WCHA. Might be better you hear it here than to have Happy remind you again that the Sioux are a bunch of 25 year old Canadians.:p

I thought it said we were younger by a month...

Re: UND @ UAA, Oct 23-24

I am not sure what he is smoking? They should put his words up in the Fighting Sioux lockerroom this weekend and then watch Trupp dance around the UAA defense like they were a bunch of pylons.[/QUOTE]

And he's the birthday boy... nice timing for a trip home lol.:)

Yeah someone should send Trupper an email and let him know he is insignificant.

I miss having him on the board :D

It was fun seeing every year how GREAATTTTT the Seapup players were and how they were sure to get home ice that season. Then seeing them fighting Tech for the bottom spot. :D

Of course it was all the fault of John Hill, or Dean Talafous. Even several years after they had left. :p

The Sioux are by far the youngest team in the WCHA going by class age.

Now we are to believe they are going to be a 4-7 team in the WCHA.

Yeah, but the FOX graphic was about actual age...I think it was 20 years, 4 and 5 months or something like that...
