nodak has done better than i expected- but i have to think it says just as much about how bad the wcha is this year as it does how good the sioux are. the only team that has been very impressive is duluth. 1 impressive team in the wcha this year.. kinda crazy.

North Dakota has never been bad in the past decade at the least. Even this year, I, yes I, was talking fans down from the ledge. UND is a second half team. I can't explain it, they just are. They will get home ice, they will make a run.

F* I need some bleach, stat.

After sweeping CC, I feel another sweep by the Huskies this weekend. Frozen 4, here we come.

So the gophers aren't impressive even though they are tied with Duluth? That makes sense.

I wouldn't say the WCHA has been "bad". I think Duluth is the only legitimate title contender at this point in the season (CC has goaltending issues, Denver has had too many injuries, and the Gophers are too inconsistent), but the rest of the league is average, with the exception of Mankato and Anchorage. From 2nd through 10th, any one of those schools could sweep, split, or be swept on any given weekend. Now, if CC can get stronger goaltender, Denver can get healthy, and the Gophers can get some consistency, you will see those three schools (along with Duluth) take over the conference and likely represent the WCHA in the NCAA Tournament. If not, there is a good chance only 2 WCHA schools make the NCAA Tournament. But to go back to saying the WCHA is "bad", I disagree. There certainly aren't many very good teams, but there really are only two bad ones.

Good mo jo. SCSU begins the march to Tampa. I understand you get a 'sister city' discount on your air fare if you fly in and out of St. Cloud, Florida.

Nice win by the boys tonight. Our goaltending seems to be in good hand for the next three years. Wow he was good tonight!! That was a fun game to watch since it was wide open race horse hockey. Now lets hope they can get the sweep.

this just in...Faragher is really good against North Dakota on Friday nights. What is that, 1 goal on 85 shots or so?

Anybody else like the move of Thorson to the Eddy/Dowd line to replace Reid?

Thorson really impressed me. He plays at full speed and is very physical.

After further review.....

The goal with :31 left in the third looks like it actually should have counted. Hanowski indeed did kick it, but it hit his own stick and deflects in. If I can get the side angle video I will post. Here is a video that shows the view from above at about :57. Highlights.


It's the way it goes. Still a great weekend of hockey. We had plenty of other chances to tie the game and just couldn't get it done.

It's hard to tell. I hope you can get the other angle view. I would love to see it.
