UND @ MN: Jan 15-16: Overly Hostile vs Underachieving

Re: UND @ MN: Jan 15-16: Overly Hostile vs Underachieving

Hey Mike, do Merrimack, Niagara, Tech, and UAA ring a bell?

You guys set the bar at cupcakes. :p

UND didn't need to schedule all their cupcakes in a row to try and turn around their season though. :)

And UND pairs their cupcake OOC with some tough teams too...Notre Dame, Miami, OSU, and Cornell. Minnesota schedules...umm, Northern? ;)

Oh wow, congrats on beating those teams.

Just because you're winning against crappy teams doesn't mean you're an awesome hockey team.

GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!

Seriously. Are you the female SIM?

Re: UND @ MN: Jan 15-16: Overly Hostile vs Underachieving

They may jump in, but I'll tell ya what they're gonna say:

Happy: MN wins, UND goes to jail, how's your finger Hakstol?
Scooby: If MN doesn't beat UND by 827532 goals each night, season's over.
HarleyMC, Greyeagle, Slap Shot: general hockey chatter, nothing specific
Jockstrap: inane ramblings involving Dirty and bodily functions

:p

Brenthoven: Wagers a half sow of boned and boiled bacon (freshly slaughtered only-no Oscar Mayer vacuum packed ****), forecasts a complete dismantling of the Sioux and a Gopher sweep, a massive earthquake to level the Ralph and every building in ND causing the Federal gov't to allocate funds to make the State of North Dakota one giant waste treatment plant.

Re: UND @ MN: Jan 15-16: Overly Hostile vs Underachieving

I take it you're feeling better?

Yeah. If I woulda made the trip, it wouldn't have been fun for me (or you guys) for that matter. I'd have been a pain in the arse the whole time. :(

Cornell? Bwahahahahahahaha.

Not this series. I take this series way too seriously to be wagering bacon.

Say, before you leave on this whirlwind ice fishing extravaganza amy I suggest a walk around your pool deck? :D :D :D :D
That is not funny. Two weeks ago I fell and messed up my bad shoulder bending down to pick up my labtop. I couldn't catch my daughter's pitches for about 2 weeks.

Sorry to hear that you reinjured the shoulder. Here's to a speedy recovery. Good luck on this fishing too. Enjoy yourself Omaha. :)

Re: UND @ MN: Jan 15-16: Overly Hostile vs Underachieving

I thought your boys looked rather mediocre tonite - what was your take on the game?

Alaska is a tough squad for Denver. The Seawolves play a neutral zone trap almost from start to finish. It makes transitions through center ice difficult. If Alaska sees it can't can't forecheck effectively in its offensive zone it immediately drops four guys back into the neutral zone.

It was effective all weekend, limited the number of shots both teams took and made both games tedious to watch at times.

I expected after Denver's terrific third period rally against BC--in which it scored four goals to win 4-3--that the Pioneers would "sleepwalk" a bit this weekend. The team did just that, and STILL, came away with three points.

Good time for an open weekend before heading to Madison in two weeks. :)

True, this series is pivotal for the Gophers going forward. Given key injuries on UND, I like our chances. Upgrade to premium Beer wagering?;)
