Glad to see another commit. But at the end of the day, another player that will be 21 before he even steps on campus.Nice to see one

I graduated Lowell 1 week after I turned 21. We are bringing in players that will be older than me when they actually step on campus. If you're OK with that, that's fine. I'm OK with that happening occasionally. No pun intended, but this is the norm for our recruiting. We have currently 6 commits for next year, and half will be 21 their freshman year.Root for bu Age factor has got mold on it at Uml
I know many teams rely on that. I understand it and it's mostly worked for us. But Merrimack has changed their recruiting philosophy the past few years. They currently have 21 commits for 2024 and beyond (we have 6). Of those 21, 7 are projected to turn 21 prior to getting on campus or during their freshman season. Lowell currently has no commits that were born beyond 2004, while MC has 10. We don't recruit the same way.Older freshmen are the trend now. Merrimack also has quite a lot of 21 year old freshmen.
Article in the Sun say Lowell was one of the schools interested. These are the stories in recruiting that really hurt. Kid from Dracut, grew up rooting for Lowell and going to the games ... commits to NU.

Not going to matter. Norm has had a lot of time to prove to these kids that Lowell is the right place to be. I know we're limited in resources but I sure hope in hindsight tightness to gameplay style isn't what ultimately ends his tenure. Yeah, I'm going to start saying that. C'mon Norm. Get this straightened out. I don't want you to leave but you know once you get a reputation it's hard to shake.
We'll have to see if the recruiting philosophy changes, but I haven't seen anything hinting at that so far.I’m optimistic last years struggles to score goals woke him up a bit. How could it not, right? That Merrimack game should haunt him. I’m also hopeful that the two new assistants bring some fresh ideas and coaching to the table.
