UML Recruiting: Finally in the 20s!

Savory still has a year of eligibility left due to the Covid shortened season, doesn't he? I wouldn’t count on him returning, but I believe it’s a possibility.

He played two seasons with RPI and now on his second with us. I can't remember how the eligibility rules apply now though. But I also don't see how he wouldn't take an amazing year like this and turn it into a pro contract.

Hopefully that's not a sign. But I also find it weird to think that the Trumans will both be starting school almost 4 years since they committed. College hockey recruiting is weird.

Speaking of Justin Dauphinais, he was traded to Brockville in January.

Tough luck for Ben Brunette as he's listed as injured on the line chart, he's missed the last 5 games for Waterloo. Due to injuries Ben has only played in 15 games so far this season.

Chris' site has now removed Dauphinais as a Lowell commit.

Thanks Monty. It will be interesting to see who comes in next season other than Collins, Bentley, Schweighardt and Roc Truman. I wonder if anyone will come back for an extra season?

The names in red on Chris’ sheet have signed NLIs, and usually that means they will play the season after signing. I’d expect Scout, Owen and Nick to be on the roster this fall.

That sounds right Middle Street. I wonder if some on the roster will move on due to lack of playing time. The portal activity should start to pick up with the season coming to an end.

Usually but not always. Fowler signed his NLI in November 2020. I thought it used to be that way (once signed, you play next year), but that changed somewhere along the way apparently. But I do expect the Trumans to come in together, along with Fowler, and the 01's Collins, Bentley and Schweighardt. Assuming that Barry Scanlon has some good information from his talks with Coach Bazin, he listed Brunette and Rheaume as well.

That's 8 incoming and only 5 departing seniors (and that's if Savory does leave).

There's 5 seniors, but also 2 departing grad students (Sodergren and Austin). So 8 in, and 7 out (if all the seniors leave)
