UML Recruiting, Building for 2018 and on

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for 2018 and on

Should probably use this as a start for a new thread for 2020 and beyond ... but just easier to do this here right now.

I'm going to go all the way to through the 2020 class on this page just because I try and keep a look out two years ahead. I'm completely guessing on some of these players entry dates, based on where I think they are in their development (based mainly on stats). Every current commit is now listed as coming in over these two years.

What this shows is that we should hopefully start seeing some commits for 2022/2023, as Lowell will have 12 seniors graduating prior to that season.

20/21 roster

Defense (10):
Senior: Anthony Baxter
Juniors: Seth Barton, Chase Blackmun, Cale List, Jonathan McDonald, Dominic Procopio, Nolan Sawchuk
Sophomores: Marek Korencik, Jordan Schulting

This leaves us at 31 on the roster, with the class breakdown for 2020/2021 being:
Seniors: 4
Juniors: 12
Sophomores: 9
Freshmen: 6

21/22 roster

Defense (11):
Seniors: Seth Barton, Chase Blackmun, Cale List, Jonathan McDonald, Dominic Procopio, Nolan Sawchuk

Zohovs former recruit to play in Alaska

Wow, a name from the past. I always wondered what the story was with him. If I remember correctly there were rumors about eligibility but he was announced as part of the incoming class and even listed on the roster and then he was gone. Oh well, ancient history. The best of luck to him in Alaska.

Some of the recruits will be in action this weekend as the season begins for the BCHL, CCHL and the OJHL.

Yeah, not sure we'll ever know the full story there. I'm surprised he's still eligible. I thought Mike McMahon reported he was no longer eligible because he signed a KHL contract and played in their major junior league. I wonder if the NCAA is making an exception because they screwed something up earlier. Strange.

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for 2018 and on

He’s still listed on the Buffalo roster at the moment, but I think he’s going to play for Minot in the NAHL instead. Eliteprospects has Minot as his current team and he’s in recent pictures on that team’s twitter account.

Thanks for the update.

Well, that didn't take long. He's already decommitted across to Heisenberg's site.
