Re: UML Recruiting, Building for 2018 and on
I hadn't considered that.
That's assuming that Wall is back next season.

Think A lee on the team also
From Lethbridge Alberta, the Truman brothers are playing in their first full season of junior hockey. Sixteen-year-old Scout is a 5’10 left winger who through 22 games has scored 3 goals and added 13 assists for 16 points. The skilled play making forward is the youngest player in the AJHL this season and played last season in the CSSHL with Yale Hockey Academy.
Roc Truman is a 5’11 seventeen-year-old center who through 29 games this season has scored 13 goals and added 12 assists for 25 points in his first year with the Dragons. Roc is a shooter who uses his size and grit to play effectively around the net.
Scout Truman #13 (F, L, Drumheller Dragons, Late 2002)- Was impressive as an ‘02 player against guys mostly two or three years older than him. Truman is an average size forward who makes an impact with the puck on his stick. He’s a quick thinker, doesn’t need much time if he sees a lane to get a pass through. He’s a setup man for his teammates and will usually dish it off instead of shooting himself. Truman could work on adding some strength as he can get knocked off the puck easily against bigger players. Grade: B-
Roc Truman #72 (F, 2001 Yale)-Roc is a big bodied forward that moves extremely well in straight lines. He excelled down the walls and made good strong plays back to the middle off the rush. He picks up pucks well wherever they are; in his feet, backhand, or stretching out. He had a good quick release and by putting it all together it got Roc a few points and goals on the weekend to help his team.
Interesting quote from the Drumheller Dragons site ...
Assistant Coach Juliano Pagliero is in his first season with the River Hawks and was instrumental during the recruitment process which earned commitments from the Truman brothers.

Jeff nailed it.I think you’ll see more recruits out of AJHL as Juliano Pagliero played there and has had success with that league in past stops at HC and Colgate.
Jeff nailed it.
They're probably not coming in till 2021 (I guess 2020 at the earliest), so it doesn't mean they'll be at the AJHL level the entire time anyway. Is that the best way to go we're uml not hc or Colgate weak
Been a while since we had brothers on the team!
It will be 7 years by the time it actually happens, that was my point. Not that long. Zack and Jake Kamrass were on the team together in 2014-15.

I believe the coaching staff are looking for the best players regardless of league. It sounds like coach Pagliero has some contacts in the AJHL which is great. If you look at the Heisenberg site the AJHL may not have the number of recruits as some of the other leagues but programs like North Dakota, Denver, CC, Michigan and Wisconsin, to name a few, are recruiting players from that league. Don't forget the top player at UMass, Makar, played in the AJHL.
It's just nice to see the program recruiting for 2020 and beyond. It will be interesting to see how the Truman brothers develop over the next couple of years.

The best way to go is to get the best talent available. This guy isnt likely to be an idiot...
