UML Recruiting, 2017+

Nothing against him, and I hope he succeeds tremendously here, but that's not the type of recruit any of us are talking about.

No kidding... I was wondering to myself what would be more worth it for a player like that... To drop to club and play back home to finish school... Or keep pursuing the dream... Of course, a lot of them try to establish state residency so that's a possibility as well and would make sense if the chance of a scholarship is limited. Who knows... All kinds of stuff.

In either case, it's not a sign of increased recruiting capability.

Not Lowell related recruiting news (but there never seems to be) ...

Wisconsin's new coaching staff has had a good 72 hours, picking up 2 '00s, 2 '01s and an '02 DOB. The '02 ... is from Billerica, MA. In the 25 days of July, they have picked up 8 commits for 2018 and beyond.

Is this a new "low" for Lowell recruiting? I've not been following the team as long as many of you, but I can't recall going into a season with only 2 recruits for the following season.

Ugh, a team in a down cycle that we waxed in a game this kid may have attended... But then again it's a 14 year old... Blah

Frustrating, something has to give soon. Based on the current roster and incoming recruits (List, Zins) it appears 2017 has little room to add additional recruits. Granted that may change if some decide to move on due to lack of playing time. At the moment the big need is 2018 where they will have to replace several forwards and a couple of defensemen.
