No way at this level recruit win pro hockey many are thinking we're in canada recruiting let's get kids who have no skill but are brains .Hey I get it I have two kids with masters but if you don't win that place will b empty I remember go to school 4 years b a monster on the ice win win win

congrats on your wife's genetic contribution... you think we'll collect meatheads to win you got another thing coming. A lot of those high skill no brain types also cause discord and issues. Norm wants a group that'll play as one under one system. Its somewhat limiting but if you haven't noticed there hasn't been any drama on this team in years.

edit: so what do we say to the new georgetown student... off metro maryland housing 1br/1ba in a 3br/3.5ba townhouse... I have to try He'll be better off getting into a group home situation in some 5br place somewhere else in the city.

I am with Turk. I think it says a lot that we have kids able to graduate 'early' (most of them have taken a few courses before they got here). The % of guys that will go on to play in the NHL is low, even for the teams with a lot of studs. I would rather be assoc with a school that takes its responsibility to the athletes seriously than be assoc with a team that uses the kids but they end up without anything to help them once they are done.

You are one weird dude. I have a feeling all us people 'who love to lose' will be hanging out and you will be in a corner all by yourself. After you have been around college hockey for any length of time you see the players as people who have lives after they have been here trying to fulfill your armchair fantasies. Hockey is a game. Life happens after you can't play anymore. I want not to hear stories of the guys I came to know as having a tough time in life because we sucked them dry and left them without tools for later.

If you want to view players as a means to an end go ahead. I think you are probably in a minority.

He is a sad old man yelling at the clouds and seems to be at odds with what our programs values with our kids.

Yes the past two years we have been missing "that" guy like a CJ Smith/Joe G/AJ White/Scott Wilson type. I'm hoping Matt Brown can be that guy, not to put the pressure on him before he even gets to campus. Next year might be another bridge year but if that keeps you from coming to games, were you even a fan in the first place?

You do realize that we, as fans/alums/whatever, can root for both, right? Even when we won 5 games in Coach MacDonald's last year, I was proud to see we had something like 20 players make the HE All Academic team. I like thinking that my school actually is teaching these kids ... you know, the "other" reason they're on campus.

I enjoy what the boys put together on the ice. I also am proud to see them succeed in the classroom.

A dominating / near perfect performance by the Bulldogs. I love their work on the walls. They always seem to win the puck battles and are always on the right side of the puck. UMass had no answer. According to their roster they only have only 3 seniors, although they may lose some guys early. The Hawks will get a shot at the reigning National Champs in October.

This shows how out of touch with reality you are. You don't get a job that allows you to support yourself without some preparation. I thought you might be in an altered state last night (a few brewskis or maybe something else that impaired your abilities to figure it out). Either you haven't sobered up (seeming less and less likely) or you are intellectually/morally impaired. No one respects a school that uses players. You can win but if you are screwing the players in the end they stop being interested in coming
