UML 2013/2014 Season ... The Target is firmly on

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season ... The Target is firmly on

Had to be factor but by that reasoning we should have lost on Saturday too. I looked at the tape of Providence's 3 3rd period goals and the Riverhawks were in "standing around watching mode" for the first 2. Mauerman's game winner was a freak sh*t luck goal but the first two we gave them imo.

On Saturday they were prepared for a short bench and adjusted accordingly. On Friday, Wilson and McGrath both disappeared in the 2nd period and Suter and Kamrass played through their injuries in the 3rd. It's a lot harder to make those adjustments in the middle/latter stages of the game than it is when you have the entire day to prepare for it. Norm even said after the game that the team "ran out of gas" in the 3rd on Friday.

How about we credit the opponent too? Providence is a very good team, and they took over that game in the latter half of the 3rd period. Chances are, if this team is going to make some noise in the postseason, they will run into Providence again.

Providence has 36 goals I think in the 3rd period. It's 3rd in the nation I believe for 3rd period scoring.
Lazy d by the riverhawks along with that stat for the Friars was a really bad combination on friday night.
That goal by mauerman really did just make it in too. Frustrating as hell.

I really like when I don't need to type and someone does it for me....

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season ... The Target is firmly on

As of last night, both Wilson and McGrath had yet to go in for X-Rays. While clearly not a doctor, I am hearing Wilson's wrist is broke and McGrath has a foot/ankle issue that could be bad. Nothing official, just what I have heard.

I hope you're wrong, but I find it hard to believe that if they think Wilson has a broken wrist that they wouldn't have him in for X-rays that night.

I know depending on the injury, you sometimes have to wait till the swelling goes down. Not sure if that applies here.
