UML 2013/2014 Season ... The Target is firmly on

I didn't get a chance to watch the stream and I was wondering if they were victims of bad "puck luck" again last night. Judging by this comment it sounds like that was the case? Happy with the win, but I was hoping for them to score 4 or more goals in this one.
I listened to much of the game... Though I was traveling through dc underground and looking at a room for rent but that was my impression for the most part

Dear lord it's been awhile since I could post something on the board! Got my updates thru my father and Monty! It seems we can be a great offensive team so far but we just haven't put it together. Is that what everyone feels?
Also I found it quite alarming hearing how easy it was for NU to get into our zone. Not normally a thing Norm lets happen !

Can anyone tell me why Lowell is schlepping out to Penn State instead of scheduling these games against a new program at home?

BC has to go there too later on this season. If part of the reason was to maintain a balanced home/away schedule, then I'm glad we got 2 at home against ND instead.

As it is we've got more home than away (excluding neutral sites).

I believe Penn State will be at Lowell for two next season.

For the folks heading to the Friday night game at Penn State.
PARKING ADVISORY
Due to a concert being held at the Bryce Jordan Center and NCAA women's soccer at Jeffrey field Friday, higher than normal traffic congestion is expected. In addition to the normal lots that serve as general hockey parking, East Parking Deck located near the corner of Curtin Road and Bigler Road is also available

Non conference games seem to have little say in overall scheduling balance. Almost the entire B10 is playing a large majority of their non-tournament* NC games at home, including Penn State.

Michigan - 7H/5A
Michigan St - 8H/5A
Penn St - 9H/3A
Minnesota* - 8H/4A
Wisconsin - 10H/4A
tOSU - 11H/3A

*counting Mariucci Classic, since it's in their building.

Lowell and BC are both playing more away NC games than they are home (BC would even out if you considered the Bean Pot home games, which given their success is a possibility). It doesn't seem to be a HE thing either, because BU is playing a large majority (9H/3A) of their NC schedule at home.

If there's no rule requiring a balanced schedule, I'd like Lowell to get schedule more games at home.

What about Michigan and Michigan State? I hope at this stage Lowell isn't flying out to play anyone unless we have an agreement that they reciprocate the next season.

I think they are coming to Lowell next season too. I recall Norm saying all the Big Ten teams on the schedule this year would visit Lowell next year. He said that during a speech at the season ticket holder BBQ over the summer. I didn't know the NC schedule for the Big Ten was so lopsided, or that here was no rule about home/away balance.

And CC and DU still need to return dates

They're both on the schedule as well, but not next year.

So ... there was a game last night, and not one mention of it here. Weird.

Good to see a 4-0 win, but the last 30 minutes or so seemed to be all Penn State. It's exactly what I was worried about going into this stretch, these kids are getting tired. This was the schedule they have worked with (not even including class work)... game Saturday, day off Sunday, bus to NJ and practice Monday, game Tuesday, but to Penn State and practice Wednesday, games Thursday and Friday. That's rough. I'm very worried about tonight.

The scary thought is that it could have been worse if it wasn't for Frozen Fenway. We would have had a road game against Northeastern in Friday. Hopefully when tonight is over, they get back here and get a very much deserved rest.

As for the game last night, while we are showing that fatigue from going nonstop, Connor was doing spectacular. I wouldn't be surprised about either netminder getting the nod tonight. Let's hopefully end the longest week of the year on a high note and get ready foe our new HEA opponents Notre Same next week

Norm cancelled the morning skate to give them a little extra rest today.

Not to look ahead, but Notre Dame suffers an injury to their leading point getter, and he will be out next week against Lowell.
Joshua Kummins ‏@JoshuaKummins 5m
Big loss for @NDHockey as freshman Vince Hinostroza will be out 2-4 weeks with a leg injury he suffered vs. Minnesota last Sat. #HockeyEast

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season ... The Target is firmly on

3-1 Lowell after 2 periods. Shots are 30-29 Lowell. Gambardella (2), Buco (2) and Chapie (team leading 6th) have scored for Lowell.

How many seasons away are we scheduling the return visit? I hate this. If Lowell's getting on a plane, you're in the Tsongas next season. Or even better, how about we get someone out here first. Time to stop acting like a second tier program.

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season ... The Target is firmly on

4 games in 7 days. The last three on the road. Lose the first game. And then go three in a row on the road. Impressive. Get some rest boys, you deserve it.

8-4 on the season now, after a 1-3 start.

BTW, just looking ahead a bit ... right after the holiday break, Lowell plays three straight against (current) #11 Clarkson, who improved to 10-2.

Why would you stop acting like what you are? When you actually win something and consistently finish at the top of country you can talk until then shut up and enjoy the limited success.

Thanks for chiming in. Why don't you let the adults talk for a little bit, and you can play attention whore in another thread. Thanks in advance.

If you ignore a 2 yr old when they are acting 2 it usually works. If you don't quote then my ignore works a whole lot better and the troll doesn't get his jollies because you got your knickers in a twist.
