We were spotty for almost the whole game. UVM was on their game and hungry. Either they so thoroughly out played us when we were skating well or we were not playing up to our potential. leswp1 - I saw the same game that you did. Yes UML had a chance to put the game away early in the first - but other than that, they did not play well again until about 10 mins into the 3rd period. VT was definitely hungrier.

Time to turn the page - new story and new game tonight. In the mean time, off to the theatre <<big sigh>>.

The interference call was obvious and right in front of the official. A penalty is a penalty, it doesn't matter when it happens. And the refs were consistent - they had called the SAME penalty against Kapla in the late second. Not really sure where your argument is on consistency.

Well less people in the crowd today, especially students. The UVM band remembered their tuners so they should cause cringeworthy sounds.

Hopefully we play hard today and not cause a stressful day.

for all the talk of "make up calls" I'm sure surprised how well the whistle got swallowed in the 3rd after that abomination.

Benedetto is an absolute joke. Too stupid to realize a player gets smoked by the puck and not a high stick and hands Vermont a PP. The lesson here is to scream obscenities and whine at the officials so you get the calls the next night. Hope Bazin took notes.

Lowell was the better team all night, and it wasn't close. Although I'm sure some Lowell fans here will say they were awful and only played for 10 minutes or something equally asinine.

A fluke goal off a skate with no Vermont player within 6 feet of the net and a gift PP that Mr. Magoo would have called correctly. Lowell's due for some puck luck, I hope it catches up tomorrow afternoon.

Glad you found your way out of whatever hole you've been hiding in. It is what it is. Lowell's been the better team both games, they'll close it out tomorrow.

What happened to the moratorium on posting after a loss?

We stole one last night, they stole one tonight. Much better game to watch tonight. Our section was packed. Looked like they sold the middle and not the ends.

to be fair, i don't think uvm has ever lost a game due to being the inferior team. there's always an excuse. you guys are meant for each other ;)

If Vermont had stolen the game, fine. Benedetto stole the game. Any other rationalization of that call and the goal that resulted is just flat out wrong.

It looked to me watching the replay on the big screen that the ref's hand was already up in the air before the puck hit the UVM guy in the face. It still made no sense since Arnold was prone on the ice and his stick never appeared to come close. The replay of the first goal seemed to show that the UVM player shot the puck to space in an effort to get the deflection; if so kudos if not lucky SOB. It was a much better overall effort but still lacked a lot of quality scoring chances. If Hellebuyck doesn't give up a poorly directed rebound we might still be at the rink instead of home licking our wounds.

we outplayed you for the most part or was that futzing in the defensive zone a clever ploy by UVM?
