UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

So someone correct me if I am wrong, but if the NU@ BU score holds up Lowell clinches the number 2 finish since no other team can pass 25 points

yes, unless ME pulls off a miracle against PC

edit: scratch that, ME just lost.

I am far from a genius but it looks to me like we are getting closer to a rematch with Union in Bridgeport.

QF games at Tsongas are Friday & Saturday, no Thursday games this year !

Correct, but there's still a ways to go before anything is decided.

Quinnipiac (#8) will be placed in the #1 overall (currently BC) bracket, Lowell (#6) would be placed in the bracket with the #3 overall seed (currently Union) in Bridgeport if the season ended today.

PWR as of 2/28/14:

1. BC
2. Minnesota
3. Union
4. Ferris State
5. Wisconsin
6. Lowell
7. St. Cloud State
8. Quinnipiac
9. North Dakota
10. Northeastern
11. Providence
12. Cornell
13. Notre Dame
14. Michigan
15. Vermont
-------
16. (35 - AH auto) Mercyhurst

Filling out the brackets based purely on seeding:

Worcester
1. BC
8. Quinnipiac
9. North Dakota
16. Mercyhurst

St. Paul
2. Minnesota (Host)
7. St. Cloud State
10. Northeastern
15. Vermont

Bridgeport
3. Union
6. Lowell
11. Providence
14. Michigan

Cincinnati
4. Ferris State
5. Wisconsin
12. Cornell
13. Notre Dame

Changes to avoid inter-conference matchups (1)

Worcester
1. BC
8. Quinnipiac
9. North Dakota
16. Mercyhurst

St. Paul
2. Minnesota (Host)
7. St. Cloud State

15. Vermont

Bridgeport
3. Union
6. Lowell
12. Cornell
14. Michigan

Cincinnati
4. Ferris State
5. Wisconsin
11. Providence
13. Notre Dame

Changes to improve attendance (1)

Worcester
1. BC
8. Quinnipiac
11. Providence
16. Mercyhurst

St. Paul
2. Minnesota (Host)
7. St. Cloud State
10. Northeastern
15. Vermont

Bridgeport
3. Union
6. Lowell
12. Cornell
14. Michigan

Cincinnati
4. Ferris State
5. Wisconsin
9. North Dakota
13. Notre Dame

Final bracket:
Worcester
1. BC
8. Quinnipiac
11. Providence
16. Mercyhurst

St. Paul
2. Minnesota (Host)
7. St. Cloud State
10. Northeastern
15. Vermont

Bridgeport
3. Union
6. Lowell
12. Cornell
14. Michigan

Cincinnati
4. Ferris State
5. Wisconsin
9. North Dakota
13. Notre Dame

It would be great to swap out Michigan for Vermont, but that gives us a B10 matchup in the first round.

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

Great job by the Hawks last night. From what I heard and little I saw, they pretty much controlled the game for large portions. Well deserved win and now home ice for the Quarterfinals is quaranteed. Also, so glad to see Wilson back! Now get the sweep and get a good two weeks to continue getting healthy.

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

I wonder if that terrible bar that we were at in the first game of Bridgeport is still there lol

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

Spring Break starts the 14th... Well they have already said student tickets will be free, hopefully they are working on ResLife now to get students an extra night (hopefully) or two on campus. I remember them doing something like this in years past, but I feel like students were back on campus for the Garden the following week.

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

Switch Lowell and Cornell to Worcester and Providence and Quinnipiac to Bridgeport for an attendance bonanza.

They won't sacrifice bracket integrity and move the 8/9 game out of BC's bracket. Besides, the attendance won't be effected that much - if at all. Anyone who can make it to Worcester can make it to Bridgeport, and vice versa.

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season, II ... May I have another?

Aaaaaand just like that the PWR gets thrown into a loop. Minnesota now sits as the #1 overall seed, and Notre Dame moves up to #10 and is now a three seed.

It's going to get crazier before it's said and done.
