Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

Imagine if we take care of business this week and Merrimack takes three of four from BU. Playing Merrimack may actually improve our SOS.

When was the last time this happened...1996??

I think that is 10 yrs too late.

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

I am still glad Merrimack is doing well. I am happy for them. Esp what they are smacking a few of teh teams that have fans that need a smack.

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

I'll update the recruit stats later, but last night:

Marc Boulanger helped his last place Grizzlys to a 3-2 win last night, backstopping the team with 22 saves. Joe Pendanza had a goal and an assist to help the Jr Bruins tie 5-5 (Massie didn't play). Julian Melchiori was a -2 in Newmarket's loss at home 5-4 to Lindsay.

Isn't the game at 805 ET?

BTW, Hendrickson's picked Lowell to sweep. The CHA guy has picked a split, with Lowell winning tonight.

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

I've updated the website to get his info.

Did you know ... he played with Sarah Palin's son in Alaska? ;)

BTW, good to see Ickert get his first playing time. Anyone who was down there, how'd he look? They just burned his redshirt year, so hopefully ... and what's going on with Carr?

I think it's different for a medical redshirt than just normal redshirting.

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

With the medical redshirt you can play in no more than 20% of the games your team plays... and I'm sure the rules go further into when and how the injury occurs.... A normal redshirt means you can't play in any games

I thought he looked good. He looks a bit on the small side, but he was able to hold his own in the corners last night.

http://www.uscho.com/news/college-hockey/id,17492/FormerRiverHawkGoldenKilledinCarCrash.html
Nov. 14 — Former Mass.-Lowell River Hawks forward Ryan Golden was killed in the early hours Saturday morning when his car rolled over on the highway in his hometown of Reading, Mass.

Golden, who played at Lowell from 1993 through 1997, was a member of the last two River Hawks teams to appear in the NCAA tournament in 1994 and 1996. He appeared in 51 games for Lowell, scoring two goals and four assists. He was a 7th round draft choice of the Boston Bruins in 1993.

Golden was the younger brother Maine standout Mike Golden, who played for the Black Bears from 1985 through 1988 and was an all-American and Hobey Bakey finalist.

Details regarding the accident are unclear and funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
sad.
