UMD 2010-11 Season

Re: UMD 2010-11 Season: Trolls Welcome!

Re: UMD 2010-11 Season: Trolls Welcome!

Can you imagine the 2010 season with her on a line with Friddy and Blais the way they were playing?
Hmmmm...I think so, leaving 'em short handed 'cause she's serving a 10 minute misconduct for throwing F bombs at an official. Requires less "imagination" than one might think.

We can always count on you to show up and ******* up a decent conversation. Why don't you go develop a hobby or something?

I'm done. You guys can play with the village idiot all summer long.

Re: UMD 2010-11 Season:

Are you really surprised, Schmoe? I hear you though. It's so easy to live in a glass house, isn't it?

Anyway-- don't let that ****** bag win. Stick around because it's interesting conversation and it looks like the guy/gal West is new to the forum. God knows we need more people in the conversation and not more village idiots.

Besides, we're going to be getting news soon on the new add to the coaching staff, me thinks.

That's the spirit! Now, if I were a certain UMD fan I'd be whining to the administration about being called such nasty names and poor little me getting picked on this very instant. The "****** bag" reference coupled with the "glass house" reference...no irony there eh? :)

Yeah...I so desperately wish I could be like the typical UMD fan...and privileged enough to support the mutts...whatever you need to tell yourself...

Put another way...if UMD were the only women's college hockey team, my interest in the sport would approach absolute zero on the thermometer. That's how "envious" I am of UMD women's hockey.

Like what the men accomplished though.

Re: UMD 2010-11 Season

I've heard. But not sure if it's public knowledge yet. (i.e. press releases, notifying the team, etc.)

Re: UMD 2010-11 Season

Interesting perspective West, and I agree. I think that constantly trying to harness it, or redirect it, is better than fighting it. But at what point do you expect and athlete to emerge or move beyond to do it for themselves? I suspect that constantly managing such energy is... well... and energy suck. Still though, she's a fantastic player and I wouldn't want to go to a Frozen Four without her.

It's up to her to make the big step, coaches can only do so much. She's not going to have a coach like Miller around forever. The other vets are all gone, so next year will be a big test for her leadership and on-ice maturity that she hasn't had since leaving Midget. She's shown she's capable of handling it when it matters most and she's as talented as any player around, now it's whether she can keep it up consitently.

Brookyone, denial will get you nowhere fast. The first step to recovery is admitting your problems!!! Hehe

Grim Reaper, I'll never deny your own delusion along with so many of your UMD fan brethren that fans of other teams are in any way envious of the Miller Mutts. I've read it enough times now, and each time wonder where such a ridiculous belief might originate...as it seems so many UMD fans honestly believe it's true. Your own drug store analytical skills aren't likely to take you very far either. One problem that does present itself to me fairly regularly is my enjoying reading posts in this forum and therefore encountering the idiotic banter and comments so often present in any UMD themed thread. If it weren't for two UMD supporters who're actually capable of objective, unbiased commentary and acknowledging due respect for talented opponents...I wouldn't even bother. That's the real problem as I see it. :)

Schedule is up: http://www.umdbulldogs.com/teams-womens-hockey.php?page=schedule

Holy.... wisco, nodak, minny right outta the shoot. Pretty typical schedule, though.
I'm glad to see that UMD has increased their number of interconference games back up to 4, although still not at the maximum of 6. Such a schedule should better aid the RPI of WCHA teams.

And it looks like Duluth will the site of the WCHA Final Face-Off after all. NoDak's schedule suggested that was not the case.
