UMass Lowell Offseason Thread '13: In Norm We Trust

I'm not sure. I haven't made any plans for either of these trips. Air fare to Detriot looks high compared to last time Lowell played out there. I would like to check out the new Penn State rink. Any word if tickets for these games will be available through UML?

Can't see why they wouldnt

Does anyone know when individual game tickets go on sale? Thanks.

Re: UMass Lowell Offseason Thread '13: In Norm We Trust

Any reason Boyle was given a uniform number? My understanding is he can't play this year

While he's on the 123 blog article roster, he's not on the official UML roster found here...http://www.goriverhawks.com/roster.aspx?path=mhockey&roster=121&

The official UML post for the roster release is also here...http://www.goriverhawks.com/news/2013/9/13/MICE_0913132107.aspx?path=mhockey

The press release author at UML should check before posting though as this isn't entirely accurate - "The team will begin its quest to defend its Hockey East titles on Oct. 12 when the University of Massachusetts makes its way to the Tsongas Center for the River Hawks first Hockey East action of the season." That game is technically a non-league game that doesn't count in the standings even though it is with a HE team. Lowell's first HE game that counts in the "quest to defend" is on Friday, November 1 when UNH comes to the Tsongas. Easy mistake to make given the schedule revamping this year and the need to fill out schedules with non-league games, many people are going to think it counts in the league standings.

That one's easy, just say we're defending the Alumni cup

For those not going to Michigan, Fox Sports Detroit will be showing the Friday night game at Michigan State live. If you have a dish and the sports pack, you're all set. If you have cable, there's a good chance that one of the Fox College Sports channels picks up that feed.
