UMass Lowell Offseason 2014: Brave New World

Re: UMass Lowell Offseason 2014: Brave New World

Mostly just their stats, but good to read anyway as it just creates more excitement for the season. I had to vote Jeff Smith on this, as I really think that if this team is going to be any good, it's going to depend on Smith (and the other two) to be pretty impressive this year. My feeling is that it's Smith's job to lose as #1.

I think Panico might have the best talent though over the four years.

I haven't seen it anywhere on the Web/Twitter yet, but Hockey East Media Day is this coming Monday - 9/22. Seems it's getting earlier and earlier every year.

Is anyone making any trips this season? I'm hoping to make the trip out to Notre Dame in November Their single game tickets went on sale today but there was very little available. The Friday game looked sold out. I assume the university will get an allotment of tickets for both games.

Four of us have already booked our plane tickets to Chicago to head out to ND. I'm likely heading to Minneapolis, as well.

Boston vs. Washington on Fri 9/26 7pm (NESN)
Calgary vs Vancouver on Fri 9/26 10pm (NHL Network)
Columbus vs Pittsburgh on Sat 9/27 4pm (NHL Network)
Winnipeg vs Minnesota on Sat 9/27 8pm (NHL Network)
Buffalo vs Toronto on Sun 9/28 7pm (NHL Network)
New York Islanders vs Boston on Tue 9/30 7pm (NESN)

Number changes.
‏@JMSoderberg
Michael Fallon has changed to No. 23 (from 20) to allow Jake Suter to wear No. 20 (was 28) this coming season. #UnitedInBlue #HockeyEast

Re: UMass Lowell Offseason 2014: Brave New World

Well that will screw me up when I am watching. Why does he want 20?

Re: UMass Lowell Offseason 2014: Brave New World

I have book my room but not my flight yet for ND. Will be doing that soon. Is anyone planning on staying thru to Sunday of is everyone leaving Saturday.

Re: UMass Lowell Offseason 2014: Brave New World

UML XC placed 4th at Iona Invitational. Scary good. Lil's Roomie was 6th as a freshman. That just doesn't happen. This kid is the real deal.

Re: UMass Lowell Offseason 2014: Brave New World

Time for the kiddo to up his game :p
um, yeah. I bet this kid ends up running in some stuff you see on TV, as in every 4 yr TV. Lil, has heart and desire but kids like his roomie come along very rarely

and you know i'm kidding... its not like running is a sport where you develop your talents over a long time... some are born with it :p

Still, if he can draft off of him for the first 100 yards... :)

edit: still, I know arkansas (#13) went 2,3,4... but grabbing 1 and 6 amongst that looks pretty good

edit #2: Iona was 12th in the nation... yeah, finishing 11th at their own meet can't help

Thanks to the football game on Saturday (Senior day, no less) hotel prices go sky high on Friday night so we're driving back to Chicago after Friday's game. Spending the day in Chicago and flying back very early on Sunday.
