The Athletics department received a huge donation by an alum of the school, which will result in a name change to Costello.
I just... I do hope but we had a window and we didn't build on it. we stopped getting the quality of players, either others targeted the same type of player or we didn't "graduate" to getting higher caliber playersWith WMU winning last night, 3 out of the last 5 National Championship winners were first time winners. 2 out of the last 5 runner ups would’ve been first time winners as well. All of this to say that despite expansion, the emergence of the portal and NIL, I still hold onto hope Lowell can win the big one someday.
Well I might have been completely mistaken, as the XC/Track coach posted this today:I think this was briefly mentioned before, but my guess is they won't opt in. The men's XC team has been arguably the most successful team on campus this decade, having won five straight America East championships. They currently have a roster size of over 50, and the opt-in roster limits are only 17. The only problem I can see is that it is not a revenue-generating sport for the school.
If that is meant to show that Lowell opted in, that would help explain the roster numbers as we're currently seeing them (24 currently for next year).Well I might have been completely mistaken, as the XC/Track coach posted this today:
Homecoming Weekend, October 17-18.Western Michigan will be coming to the Tsongas next season
Tsongas should have a couple of those dollar beer nights next year for anyone with a UML ID to keep the tradition going and get more students in the building. I'm tempted to contact Boswell and pitch the idea.Pretty good article in the NEHJ about soon to be sophomore Chris Delaney.
