UMass Lowell: 2023-24 Season

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Truman brothers stay. Not that I could blame Roc especially if he looked elsewhere, as it doesn't appear Bazin has much interest in him being on the ice.

I guess he saw that Welsch was going to be the #1 next season. This really makes it a requirement that Lowell get a goaltender in the portal now. I've updated the 2024/2025 roster on the recruit thread.

That's been my critique for awhile... I think this is also an artifact of waiting on late bloomers is the guys with obvious talents will already be gone.

He had really wanted to play here and was a local kid. I hope we find out the real story at some point.

Sounds like you have a high opinion of him. As a Maine fan I hope he leaves off ice issues behind if there were some. He seems to be a strong player despite his height, can stick handle and generate offense. Any comments on if this is accurate or if my analysis is wrong? I didn’t find a lot of highlights for him.

I would agree with your analysis. I considered him an energy type player that can be tough to play against, something the Hawks lacked this past season. If I remember correctly, he did a good job on the PK too. He should be a solid player for Maine.
 
Take it for what it’s worth… Maine forward in the mix to Lowell. Don’t have a name, just know there is interest on both sides.

There are four Maine forwards that are in the portal.
  1. Cole Hanson (1 year eligibility left) 34 GP, 4-4-8 last season
  2. Felix Trudeau (2) 24 GP, 3-2-5
  3. Parker Lindauer (2) 16 GP, 1-1-2
  4. Reid Pabich (2) 21 GP, 1-4-5

Thanks for this! How do you get access to the portal?

I looked at the players on elite prospects, it’s interesting that Hanson played at Colgate for a year… I wonder if it’s him?
