Surprised know one talking about coaching position that' is open big position on team get a good one norm
I asked Major4Sports on Twitter (two ex-Lowell players, Nick Gordon and Terrence Wallin) their thoughts on this ...

@nerevsfan
Curious if you believe the next recruiting lead is already there at Lowell or does Bazin need to hire one?

@TheM4Sports
Replying to @nerevsfan
My guess is that they will hire one, but who knows..Head coaches can’t recruit during the year obviously and Andy Jones is the “stay at home” assistant..will be interesting to see who gets that job

Does anyone have any opinion on these names being mentioned? Cam is a big loss in the sense that he did an excellent job recruiting and developing goaltenders. He helped get some great players over the past seven years and he will definitely be missed.

For those of us that have been hoping for a change in the recruiting philosophy (for example a few less 21/22 year old freshman, a few more younger early commits) do any of these guys have a reputation that might move the needle in that direction?

Also, is this bad timing too? I would think the pool of candidates would have been better a month or two ago.

Did anyone attend the golf tournament today? How was the turnout?

Bentley seems to be recruiting pretty well, and we already know Union does as well.

The question on the age though is probably a Bazin thing. That's what he's looking for, so that's what the recruiters are doing. They do get in some more "normal" aged freshmen (Barton and Blackmun both just turned 19), but he seems to want to emphasize guys that are a bit more experienced, late-bloomer types.

It is rare to have a coach who specializes in goaltending and recruiting like Ellsworth; however, that is what Tapp's role is at Union, and Union seems to be recruiting largely the same type of player as UML does.

If UML wants to get a coach who is the closest thing to a 1 to 1 replacement for Ellsworth I doubt there is a better option than Tapp. But maybe UML goes in a different direction hires someone who isn't a goaltending and recruiting guy and divides up the responsibilities differently in the new staff.

Pagliero at Colgate plays a very similar role. Recruiting, goaltending, defense. He coached keepers Charlie Finn (set Colgate save record) and Colton Point (just signed with Dallas)
