Re: UMass Lowell 2015-2016 Season Thread

Anyone coming to beautiful Duluth, Minnesota and the scenic North Shore of Lake Superior?

Looking forward to a great series. My first men's college hockey game featured UML @ UMD in 2006. I always remember it because UML's goalie had a blank yellow helmet and the Penalty Box gave him hell for it :D

Nice! It was strange he had that helmet...seeing how UML's school colors are red and blue.

I should be there.

I'm so **** glad I didn't go Friday night to MC. Because if I had to watch two straight games of utter crap hockey, I'm pretty sure I'd be jumping in front of a train.

Saturday night bored me awake. I didn't even think that was possible. If you go to the HE site right now, you'll see the rotating set of stories about how the weekend went for teams. Look at the guy in the background (on the right) of the Lowell story... yeah, that's how it felt.

Is he making that face because of the play on the ice? Or is it because its the 3rd period and his beer is empty? :D

Highlight of Friday at Merrimack was Fuddruckers before the game. The guy in the photo I think is how many of us felt after this weekend.

On a positive note, Lowell remains unchanged in the USCHO poll at #7 while this week's opponent Duluth dropped from #5 to #6 after tying Notre Dame twice. Need to find a way to take care of business out there this weekend and wake up the offense. Defense really isn't an issue at this point as is goaltending. Despite not being the biggest Boyle fan, I'll be the first to admit he's really stepping up to start the season.

Because he's at Lawler, where they don't serve beer and all the other things that make Lawler not a great trip....

Isn't the Lowell 5 Banner on the stairs and the Sam Adams on the wall ... from Tsongas?

I'm guessing the image isn't actually from this weekend, as it looks to have been taken at Tsongas (unless Lawler has changed tremendously in the past year), but we know Saturday was a blue out for homecoming

Yeah the the image was taken in the Tsongas and its from last season. I cropped it before posting but there is a Michigan State player in the original on the HE website.

While not an image from this past weekend, the look on the guy's face is reflective of how the majority of UML fans felt throughout the weekend.

Funny that you point this out and Ryan Lambert writes almost the exact same thing in his CHN column today.

Is he lurking here looking for content? ;)

Is UMLGoon lurking for content... Well... Yes.

I listened to the radio all the way to central Virginia... Bob never stopped talking about how the configurations just don't seem right because of the inability to get to "top speed".

So yeah... Certainly a theme... And it sounds like everybody is thinking the same thing.
