NCAA tournament and this game has been so not interesting. Its not like the PC game where PC neutralized every attempt we made. It feels like a mediocre end of January game.

Lowell is now 6-1 in opening round games (only loss 1988 to Wisconsin... two game series so technically 6-1-1)... and I BELIEVE their <s>3rd</s> 2nd overtime winner of that set (<s>Michigan State,</s> Miami, Yale)

edit: no, neither game versus MSU went to overtime.

Not trying to diminish this win or take anything away from Yale who played with serious intensity but at times it was like watching paint dry. Lowell had long stretches of lazy sloppy play from where I sat. Part of it was that Yale did a great job of disrupting Lowell's game but this was definitely not near a full game of playoff compete level for Uml. Period 2 was just plain bad and if we were playing a team with more offensive punch we would have been in trouble. Whining aside I'm thrilled they won and consider this a season to be proud of but it's gonna take a lot more effort than tonight to beat Q.

They'll need to play much better if they hope to advance. Agree about the sloppy play and lazy passes.

Come on UML, put two Hockey East teams in.

It's not right that the East and NEast regional winners play each other in the FF. Flipped from last year when BU and Prov won the two eastern regionals.

Yeah i think that's due to the way the seeding went. Q is #1 overall and Providence was #4. So the bracket was setup for #1 to meet #4 in the semifinal.

Phew! That was heart stopping.

YLae really took it to us. THey played very well. Much respect for them.

Thought NU was going to make it all the way. :(
