PC has been so up and down this year, no clue how they come out but they can't score on an open net it seems!

For what it's worth, the new uniforms look sharp. Now to focus on more important things, the game...

Putrid effort by every Lowell player not named CJ Smith. Lost three out of the last four. PK has surrendered 6 goals in the last 7 power plays. Boyle was positively Amherstian tonight. PC totally out worked Lowell for every puck.

There's more, but you can start there.

I will agree with that. Why does Lowell play their worst games at home and on NESN in front of a huge crowd?

Boyle was terrible in net. I don't think PC has scored four easier goals this year. PC can't score guys!

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March

Awful performance all around. Not sure the final attendance, but even the fans didn't seem all that interested in the game. Neither did most of the players. Awful, just awful.

We got embarrassed at home by a team that can't score. And they made it look easy.

Boy that was ugly. Tough night in the defensive zone, just like the Michigan game. Nice job by PC in going to the net and winning the battles. The Hawks just can't seem to kill a penalty right now. Faceoffs were 35-25 for PC.

Game highlights.

Game story from the Sun: Friars burn UMass Lowell.

"It was a very difficult hockey game for us," Bazin said.
"We played as poorly as we have in a long time. Do you need me to explain to you why? I have no idea. We were back home after a month and a half. We were easy to play against. Let me repeat that, very easy to play against.
"I'm disappointed in our effort. I'm disappointed in our game plan and that goes right down the line. It was a team loss."

It will be interesting to see how things go tonight. I was hoping to make the trip to PC but the weather isn't cooperating.

I would guess the boys would like to get right back to it tonight, as that sting will take a while to go away.

But I know the UMass/Merrimack has been postponed till tomorrow. Not sure what's going on with ours.

I took a walk through downtown earlier. They were arriving at the arena around 11:30, so I would imagine they are on their way down now.

Agree, and I'm sure they will play better tonight. Hopefully the Hawks can take some points. i wonder if we'll see any lineup changes tonight? Wallin, Edwardh and Maniccia all sat last night. Maniccia has missed the last three. Back to Boyle tonight?

If it were me I'd go with the hockey theory of throwing the untested goalie and make the team play in front of him.

Re: UMass Lowell 2014-2015 Season: The March to March

I like this theory. Boyle has settled down and been consistently better as season has progressed but I feel like the team wins in spite of his contributions. The goals he gives up are often weak. Might be time to give the frosh some on the job learning opportunities.

According to Norm six new faces in the lineup tonight. I haven't seen the lineup yet.
